*****PLEASE READ THIS SECTION*****THE ROCK RIDGE CABIN 🏡 IS A HUMBLE MODIFIED A-FRAME CABIN. ONCE YOU ARRIVE INTO THE PRIVATE DRIVEWAY YOU WILL HAVE PLENTY OF PARKING FOR TRAILER AND ALL YOUR TOYS. THERE IS A BIG BOLD DECK THAT ANCHORS THE ROCK RIDGE CABIN TO THE DIXIE NATIONAL FOREST. TUCKED BACK IN THE TREES, THIS PEACEFUL CABIN WILL HOST UP TO SIX PEOPLE.The spaceThere is one private queen bedroom on the main floor with two queen beds to share one open loft upstairs which allows for tree top views through the large picture windows.Upon entering the home you’ll see beautiful fireplace installed in the main room. The cabin comes fully equipped with the basics for cooking and cleaning as well as a full-size refrigerator to make yourself comfortable. The cabin has comfortable seating for four at the dining table and sectional with two recliners. Last but not least the old A-frame had a bathroom that’s was remodeled into a beautiful walk-in shower. Rock Ridge it’s a perfect cabin for a relaxing and cozy retreat out in of the city. The home kitchen is equipped with all you need to prepare a home cooked meal. We have a fireplace for heat but you may use heat and ambience as well! Please make yourself at home.(We DO NOT Supply wood for fire starting provisions, these may be purchased in the village or bring your own. DO NOT BURN DURALOGS INSIDE. Please take winter precautions seriously.ONCE THE SNOW ARRIVES…🌨⛄️❄️In the winter Highway 14 may or may not have snow on it. The county plows do not plow at night and they start as early as possible to clear roads in the mornings. Once you arrive to the village the drive to the cabin is on snow covered gravel roads. Roads are plowed by slowly Road they often be slippery and freezing conditions are covered with some inches of fresh snow. They may not be cell service for your provider in our area so please come prepared. You will ascend 8500 ft. Winter weather may vary on your journey.4x4 is REQUIRED Winter months and we always just carrying chains. **If you feel you need chains put them on BEFORE attempting the hills, put them on in them on in a safe, flat, out of the way area. DO NOT BLOCK ROADS especially Movie Ranch/ Meadow Ranch ( it is a hill once past the church) as it is the only access to the community. Do not ask if your 2 Wheel drive can make it the answer is NO!SNOW REMOVAL: if it snows during your stay your driveway will be blown out if there’s 8” or more. The plow may only blow up to where your car is parked, if you park in the spot left of the cabin the plow should be able to blow the entire driveway. Snow removal on your deck, too and around your car is your responsibility. There will be a shovel on the deck of the cabin. We are in line for snow plow AFTER the main roads, resident and elders.POWER OUTAGES: in the event of a power outage the only source of heat is from the fireplace and you will have to start the fire for heat. We do not stock wood or fire starters. Plan ahead if there is winter weather and have these provisions. We are not able to provide them for you, there is no Uber, there is no Uber eats, no food delivery! No tow trucks! Be prepared! Yes, the power goes out in the winter weather!Please keep in mind if you arrive after dark on the Mountain most everything may be closed. Please plan ahead. We now have WIFI!The cabin is located 3.7 miles from Duck Creek Village, 33 miles from Cedar City, 7 miles from Highway 89, 52 miles from Bryce Canyon and 44 miles from Zions National Park. The cabin is near Brianhead Ski Resort, Cedar Breaks, Navajo Lake, Panguitch Lake and Strawberry Point overlook is just up the road. This cabin has year round access and lots of ATV or snowmobiling trails. This cabin is conveniently located and easy to get to and there is a lot of things to do in the area or just relax. It's a perfect getaway!There are many ATV and Snowmobile trails to ride. The recreational activities are endless. Lots of sight seeing within minutes of the cabin.
