檸檬酒店(Lemon House)

Super hôte, merci à Katu pour son hospitalité. L’hostel est juste à côté du ferry pour aller sur les îles gili très pratique. Le petit déjeuner est bon et les hôtes sont très accueillants. Serviettes de bain et draps sont fournis. Bonne connexion wifi je recommande pour une escale sur Padang Bai!

A simply beautiful little bijoux hostel, an absolute gem. As other people have mentioned, there are steps to the hostel - they are worth the climb, the views are simply wonderful. Our room far exceeded our expectations, the attention to detail for every tiny detail created a beautiful space - shells on the curtain ties, beautifully beaded lights, heart shaped mirror ...The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean - bathroom was perfect. Room and bathroom had plenty of space. The morning light shining into our room was simply stunning, it made me feel very privileged to be staying in such a beautiful place. Fabulous terrace and breakfast was delicious. We will stay again on our way back.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Firstly the manager/owner tried to rip me off twice (we agreed a taxi rate one day and the next day he said it would be 200k higher, then he tried to charge me full price for the room when I'd paid for a deposit which I said but had to prove on my hostel world app.) It's extremely difficult to find, there are no signs to the hostel and its up a very steep, dirty, unlit staircase. I was told I would have the dorm to myself then discovered I would be alone all night in the whole hostel. I got a very bad feeling about the people and the location of the hostel. The pillows were absolutely disgusting underneath the pillow case (no pillow protectors) and the bathroom looked like something from a horror movie. It's a cheap place, but not even worth the money they charge. I didn't stay the night because I felt so uneasy and I have never left a hostel which I've already paid for before. Don't bother with this place. As a solo female travelling alone I wouldn't recommend staying in Padang Bai, get there early and get a boat out asap
