I was staying locally to the Sense Canggu Beach Hotel and I booked in for a full body massage which was AMAZING! The facilities were immaculate, clean and comfortable. My therapist was pleasant and listened to my requests. Totally recommend using the SPA at this hotel. I will be staying locally in September, and I will be sure to book in again.

Wi-Fi is echt een ramp in kamer 5210, die van mij valt steeds uit. Muziek luisteren op 4G is daarom zo op. Verder een schuifpui dat niet goed schuift en een bed vol mieren. Wel een chille plek met een tof zwembad!

I checked into this hotel on Friday and have booked via Agoda as it was centrally located and close to the yoga centre where I like to attend. The website describes “ An exquisite luxury 4-star Resort which guarantees a relaxing stay in the enchanting village of Canggu on the island of Bali, Indonesia. The hotel is nestled amongst the rich green rice paddies of the Balinese countryside and can be found just a short stroll from the prestigious Echo and Batu Bolong beaches” Unfortunately this was not the case as is very misleading with fake advertising. The hotel is located between two huge construction developments from left side to right side. There is NO PRIVACY or quietness or relaxing space in your room. There is heavy loud construction noise that happens from 8am till late evening. As soon as I stepped into my room it was dark,old and mouldy. The shower was broken and water spluttered everywhere. I called reception and asked about the loud construction noise which was bothering me and asked for a refund as I wanted to stay and rest in quiet and peaceful room. I spoke with the manager Pak Wayan and he rudely refused to refund my request and offered me to stay in another room which still had construction noise and construction workers looking in. I said I was looking for a quiet place to sleep and rest and he said the policy is they don’t do refunds and that I had to speak with Agoda. I contacted Agoda and they said that the hotel won’t refund as a part of their policy. I l checked out and said Its unfair for guests that want to holiday in a quiet place and I found it misleading as it doesn’t reflect what is advertised on the hotel website. The manager Wayan said that the other guests are not complaining about the noise. I tried to contact him on WhatsApp over the next day to request a refund however there was NO response and no effort in responding. I’ve been living in Bali for 12 years and worked in many hotels and resorts and this is the most disappointing hotel I’ve ever experienced with very unprofessional manager and staff. I recommend better off booking at Uma como and 5 star resorts with professional and proper management. Sense Beach hotel is definitely NOT 4 star it’s more like a 1 star!! Be aware. Very noisy with constructions noise happening all day.

The staff are not very friendly and welcoming. The area for breakfast is average as a lot of mosquitoes flying around and the breakfast is average too.

I wish I could be positive, but this was a very disappointing experience. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by construction and noise. I left after one night and they refused to refund the balance of my payment, saying it was a *********** policy - I had booked directly with the hotel.

Great hospitality. Perfect location. I’d definitely recommend this spot. They should just work on their choice of music by the pool, other than that it was a really pleasant stay. The location is really good if you have a scooter and want to be close to the beach in Canggu.

Our room (Suite with Garden View) was very clean and modern. The pool area was lovely and the pool bar has snacks and drinks available through the day. Breakfast was decent, there was a small buffet and an additional menu to order a larger meal. The spa was fabulous and I would highly recommend going for the Sense Signature massage. My boyfriend was sick during our stay and the staff were very attentive and gave us some anti-sickness medications in the early hours of the night. The hotel is about a 4-5 minute walk away from Echo Beach and has many restaurants along that beach front. Our only grievance was the late night wedding party in an adjacent villa owned by the hotel, which blared loud music across the hotel until around 11pm. We unluckily were closest to the villa so took the brunt of it.

Lovely room, great pool and great location and friendly staff. A great swim up bar annd the roof top,bar was anlso a lovely spot, but the one thing that spoils this place is that spoils it is it is surrounded by building sites on all sides with non stop noise day and Night!
