We had very busy schedule, so we were mostly at the resort in the evening. Service were great and the staff would really cater our needs e.g. when we have to leave extremely early in the morning and miss the morning breakfast, they tried to pack us something to have before our departure times. On the other hand, the place and facilities seemed a little old and the only thing was that there are tall walls around which blocked some part of sunlight (we tried to head back around 4 to enjoy the pool), yet without the sunlight, the water felt very cold for a swim but I guess that differ with different blocks.

It is a shame but this is a poorly run business, the room looks quite nice and the pool is quite good size for this type of villa, it’s location is good, only a short walk to Monkey Forest Rd and Hanoman. There is a lot of cafes and Warungs surrounding, so great location. That’s where the good part ends, the service is poor, while the staff and very nice, there are some who have no understanding of English so communication is a bit difficult at times. The amenities (towels etc) poor, we got 2 towels, no pool towels, no face towels and hand towels and were told “we don’t do that here” the breakfast food was poor, your choice of 3 things and a juice and tea, coffee. The food when delivered was either burnt or over cooked and also cold and really inedible..I personally would not stay here again, noises during night kept us awake and when we bought this up with management they sent maintenance only to find rats in the ceiling straight above the bed. This place could be so much better, it has potential but at the moment it really is needing a lot of work from management.

I have stayed at Umae Villa before but I have to say that the staff are so friendly, helpful and accomodating. I travelled this trip with my elderly mother and we stayed in the three different types of villas, Umae offer over our stay. The villas are always clean and comfortable and the staff amazing as always. A special big thank you to Kadek (Dekmas) and Wayan Cahaya who completely made our trip special and looked after us very well. This is one of my favourite places to stay in Ubud. Thank you again!❤️

We stayed in the 2 bedroom pool villa for six nights. It was such an amazing and wonderful experience to have your own private pool at an affordable price! The staff was extremely nice and anticipated your needs. The receptionist walked up to me with an open umbrella to cover me as I exited my tour guide's car while it was raining -- now that's what I call great customer service. The food for breakfast was very tasty, though a bit on the small side. However, when I mentioned this to the receptionist, she made sure to make note of that and my breakfast portion size the following day was larger. It is true that the facility is a bit dated, but it was clean and we really don't have much complaints about that given the value for what we paid. It would have been nice to have mosquito nets to prevent the mosquitos from biting. The air conditioner worked perfectly all day and was a good relief on a hot day. Overall, an enjoyable stay and a recommended place.

Umae Villa has friendly staff and is in a great location in Ubud- very easy to walk to the Monkey Forest from here. The Villa is peaceful, but there is some noise at night from neighbouring restaurants outside. The private pool was amazing after a long hot day out exploring. My advice would be to take pool towels as none are provided here. I stayed with my parents and we all enjoyed the breakfast. There is a choice from a menu each day and fresh juice provided at breakfast.

Nothing worked apart from the location. My entire honeymoon plan got spoiled because of service. LUXURIOUS villa is a dream here. To begin with 1. Request for extra towel denied- as all towel have gone to laundry 2. Breakfast- one dish per person. Seriously after having paid so much 3. No toiletries 4. Villa has a kitchen but can't use it as you have to place a request before 5. No telecom.... 6. Pool not lit and really annoyed on the response that electric connection damaged. All in all had a nice stomach burn for the amount paid and what I got in return. Honeymoon spoilt...thanks umae villa
