I really enjoy my stay at Pondanu. The cabin is clean and very comfortable. The bed is comfortable and it has heater, which is really nice. The bathroom is spacious and clean, and they even gave an electric towel stand to dry your towel.A nice touch. The view from the room is dissapointing, though. I cant hardly see the lake. I purposely book "lake view" room so that I can see the lake. But the overall view from the hotel itself is great. They have restaurant, so you can order food and drink from them, since there is no restaurant around. You can canoeing or cycling for free, complementary of your booking. The staff is helpful and curteous too. I will definitely come back!!

Il luogo è magico e non sembra di stare a Bali, bensì su un lago svizzero. La struttura è molto bella, costituita da chalet di legno sospesi su palizzate e dotati di ogni comfort. Il personale è gentile e la colazione così come la cena "piacevoli" senza essere niente di che. Il pontile sul lago è meraviglioso e il giardino che lo precede è davvero bello. All'arrivo, però, abbiamo trovato gli asciugamani sporchi e le lenzuola tanto, tanto macchiate. Abbiamo chiesto che risolvessero il problema e in 10 minuti è stato fatto però trovo inconcepibile che le due principali cose a cui fare attenzione quando si prepara una stanza per gli ospiti siano state ignorate e non cambiate. Mi spiace molto perchè il soggiorno, di una notte soltanto, è stato piacevole, ma questo aspetto ha rovinato decisamente il giudizio complessivo.

We visited this place and of course, it really worth the drive of nearly 3 hours from Sanur. I love the space and atmosphere. Right after entering the place, you will love the cool air at the hill and explore the walk to river. Few places for sitting with food and drinks to chill out. However, one minus for food quality. They are all fail from my expectation. Not worth for money paying and they are all tasteless. Service staffs are nice and friendly. Only most concern with food quality not highly recommended.

This property was a little hard to find. You have to turn off the main road and then drive through narrow roads to reach it. But boy did we have a pleasant surprise when we reached the property. It has all the amenities a traveler wants and more. As we drove in there was a small area in front of the reception where we could park our car. It was dark and no one was at the reception. We rang a bell there and very soon a girl came. She helped us with our luggage and lead us to our rooms. The rooms were of good size. The bathroom was large by standards with shelves and hanging for clothes. The shower had hot water that flowed instantly. Everything else was good. There was even an electronic drying rack so we could wash our clothes knowing that the rack would dry them by the next day. The room was clean with tv that has Netflix, kettle, coffee and tea. Best of all the bed could be heated with a touch of a switch. We did not know the area was that cold and so didn't bring cold stuff. So we were thankful for the heated bed. Set by the lake as its name implies, it has a tranquil atmosphere, yet at the same time not too far from civilization. The restaurant serves good food. Not exceptional but good enough. Breakfast choice was Indonesian or full American. They even send us goreng pisang daily as snack. We saw the tented rooms, and even those looked good though we did not stay in them but they faced the lake which make them even more idyllic. There is also a gym and massage room. I paid IDR150000 for a massage and it was good. Problem was they had only one masseuse and we had to take turns. We all definitely enjoyed the stay.
