巴利納城堡酒店

Nous avons passé une nuit et avons mangés au Fisherman’s pub. La chambre était très jolie et le lit super confortable. Le restaurant était top et le personnel adorable! Nous avons pris un petit déjeuner qui était également super bon (pas mal de choix et bonne qualité) et avons fait une petite balade dans les sentiers proches des lacs. Un super endroit calme que je recommande fortement. 10/10

The hotel itself was lovely however, I left an expensive coat in my room after a few months I realised and called the hotel. Reception said they would look into it a day later I got a call back to say they could not locate it. When you are paying that kind of money you would expect they would make contact with you surely when they found the coat in the room you would think they would contact you. Very Disappointing.

We vonden onze tijd hier heerlijk. Prachtige kamers, prachtige kunst, prachtige omgeving. Super vriendelijk personeel. Heerlijk eten zowel in het restaurant als in de pub. Hebben genoten van de rust die het kasteel en de omgeving uitstraalt. Waren er 2 nachten bij een nachtje extra was ook heel fijn geweest.

This beautiful Castle is somewhere we stayed a while ago. Visiting Ireland last week, we visited with 2 travelling companions, to have morning coffee and wander in the grounds, intending to get a brochure to stay again. It was 11ish. we sat by a beautiful log fire and asked for a coffee. We were told the bar was closed until 12.30 and unlikely. The receptionist checked and came back with "no, breakfast is still being served. I said "well they will be serving coffee" couldn't we just have a tray sent out. Again, no ! I asked to speak to a manager who was very close by and may even have heard. I said "is there really no-one who could put the kettle on for a coffee" She replied that even if we were guests, we would not be able to have a coffee, it was their policy !! So, 2 members of staff standing in front of a potential booking for 4 people (as I had already said we wanted a brochure for a future booking, and neither was prepared to procure a cup of coffee. (Really) ?? I have never, ever, been to a hotel of any standing, anywhere in the world and been refused. I remain puzzled. Needless to say we didn't take a brochure as we will not be rebooking, nor did we walk, as we needed to find somewhere more accommodating for a drink .. Doubly embarrassing as we had been singing the praises of this lovely, previously warm, and friendly place :0( This said, during our stay, everywhere else, be it a pub, restaurant, B ad B or even a shop, everyone else we encountered there, was totally helpful and quite charming.

Top class irish warm traditional welcome the very best staff will be back. Decor beautiful setting amazing 5 star + Beside river team and GM hugely welcoming to will be back this is the place to stay for fishing and real Authentic Connemara experience

Cet hotel que nous avons découvert il y a 11 ans pour notre voyage de noce, est toujours dans l excellence que ce soit au niveau du domaine, de l accueil, de la chambre, de la literie, de la vue, de l espace, de la propreté, de la restauration, du petit déjeuner, du bar, de l ambiance et des promenades au sein de la forét. Une véritable merveille! Le seul petit point noir, est que l accés à ce domaine est ouvert à tout public pour les balades, et du coup il manque des places de parking, dont pour les PMR ou il y en a qu une. Quand on voit tout ce monde, ça surprend. Mais comme le dit le proverbe, jamais deux sans trois! Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir. Et un grand merci au personnel français qui a su si bien nous aider! Ce fut deux nuits mémorables.
