I’m a jaded traveler and not prone to reviews, but the three days we spent at Pa Sak Tong have shifted my benchmark of a luxury experience. This estate is big and secluded - it’s easy to get lost in the rice paddies and bamboo trees. But it’s the many small details that made the biggest impression….the ponds filled with mature koi (which I learned are bred on the property); the manicured grounds; and impressive art collection. After an amazing lamb dinner in the dining pavilion, which was decked out with flowers and candles and Chinese vases, we were treated to a post dinner surprise of sky lanterns. What a magical experience to light and launch those Thai lanterns! The polished, intuitive and personalized service is where this place really shines with the details. Midway through a morning stroll around the agricultural neighborhood, cold towels and drinks awaited us. When I had iced tea after lunch one day, the servers made sure that ice tea (as well as lime juice and honey!) were available in a picnic lunch at the top of a mountain the next day. They’ve definitely thought through all the details to create a luxury experience, This was a resort experience without the resort. We felt as if we were in an exquisite home of a very wealthy person with incredible taste - Private, personal, and very, very comfortable. This was a 6 star experience that I won’t forget.
