Wir hatten hier Ende August 2024 zwei Übernachtungen und haben Abends im Restaurant des Hotels gegessen. Das kleine Hotel ist sehr empfehlenswert: Es hat gute Zimmer und bietet einen idealen Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in der Region. Auch das Restaurant hat sich, als wir es zweimal zum Abendessen besuchten, als gute Wahl herausgestellt. Am ersten Abend hatte ich Thai Green Chicken Curry; am zweiten Tag dann eine sehr leckere Cullen Skink (schottische Fischsuppe) sowie Grilled Breast of Barbery Duck in Soja- und Worcestersauce. Als Getränk einen sehr guten Chenin Blanc aus Südafrika.

Soggiorno di una notte in questo Country House Hotel vicino al centro di Banff in zona residenziale molto bella e tranquilla che domina valle del Deveron. La nostra stanza affacciata sul giardino in stile moderno scozzese , pulita e molto luminosa. Colazione in una sala molto grande e luminosa con cereali, succhi, yogurt e frutta a buffet e la parte calda cucinata alla carta. Tutto molto buono. Cena squisita! Io personalmente ho scelto piatti di pesce ottimi e con porzioni abbondanti . Personale gentilissimo ! Possibilità di menu gluten free! Consigliatissimo anche per il buon rapporto qualità-prezzo!

This was not my first visit to Fife Lodge - and it was as good - if not better - than ever. The staff are welcoming, friendly and efficient. The food was really good - lovely local ingredients and beautifully cooked and presented. The rooms are well appointed - well decorated - and well kept. There is nothing I could find fault with - even if I wanted to. I’ll be back!

First time staying at the Fife Lodge Hotel and no complaints. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Room was comfortable with usual facilities. Didn’t have dinner in the hotel but breakfast following morning was great with plenty of choice. Will book again next time in Banff.

We had a lovely week long visit to the Fife Lodge, staying in the bungalow and dining in the restaurant. The staff and management were lovely, welcoming, friendly and attentive. The food quality was high and menu selection wide. Then there’s the portion sizes!!! They were Hugh with plenty of side plates of vegetables, even us hungry fishermen struggled. The bar was comfortable with a large range of drinks and efficiently staffed. Well well worth a visit, we will definitely be back next year.

Just back from an overnight stay and would highly recommend the Fife Lodge to anyone wanting to stay there. The location is perfect as just up the hill from Banff high street. I don,t often take pictures but did this time as the building and large well maintained gardens were impressive on arrival. The room we stayed in was a double room which had everything you would wish to need and the decor was well finished and in touch with the age of the building. The breakfast is included in the price and was perfect as you,ll see by in the pics. A big thankyou to all the staff but a wee shout out to Lorna who looked after us in the evening and to Colin at breakfast time. We know where we will staying everytime we go back up to Banff. Highly recommend this Hotel to anybody reading this, you will not be disappointed. Perfect hotel for a private function as well i,m sure. Many thanks, Stevie.

My wife and I stayed 2 nights, attending an open-air play at Duff House. The weather was dreadful, but the hotel was wonderful: spacious and comfortable room, food delicious and generously portioned, and the staff friendly and attentive. Will be back.

This hotel was spotless. Very warm welcome. Comfortable bed. staff very friendly. We had evening meal for 2 nights that we stayed. The food was very good. Enjoyed the steak. Good selection of fish. Attentive service. We stayed in room 6 which was very big and spacious.

Such a restful stay in an elegant room surrounded by beautiful grounds. A traditional sense of yesteryear - in the best possible way - while maintaining standards and expectations for today’s travellers. Great food (the best sticky toffee pudding!)

Just a one night stay as a birthday treat! Our room was lovely, staff very friendly and breakfast (smoked haddock) was exceptional! Especially as served by Colin who’s a character. We ate elsewhere (Knowes at nearby Macduff - brilliant) but the menu looked good, so maybe next time!

Went for a BAR Meal, was given the Main Restaurant menu only. Wasn’t offered any other menu, so we went ahead and ordered, sat over 20 minutes before meal came , then had to wait for cutlery napkins etc etc had to ask for salt and pepper. I then asked do you have another menu for the bar yes was the response from the waitress we have a light bites paninis etc etc. The meal was tasteless the mash potatoes was a ball about the size of an egg plus a sludge of beef and veg mixed together filling the plate with a pastry top this supposed to be a steak pie. My wife ordered the Thai green curry she couldn’t chew the chicken it was just like lumps of rubber an upside bowl of rice with a curry sauce poured over it. The best part of this was the pompedom . Didn’t see a waitress until the end of the meal a guy came asked Did you enjoy the meal . Told him no no taste couldn’t eat it etc etc etc. went to pay the bill was asked agai did you enjoy your meal told him no , was tasteless and also chicken currie lumps of chicken like rubber. Was expecting a reduced price and apologie, that didn’t happen. Plus VAT 20 percent was added to the bill , a bar lunch. The owner said in previous reviews she would speak to the chef about the complaints. Don’t bother he must be deaf. Won’t be going back.

Friendly hotel ,with good food and perfect location,rooms are well furnished and comfortable.Food is cooked fresh with a huge menu to choose from

Well what can I say apart from fabulous. We went for a couple of drinks before our meal and was welcomed with smiles and a log burner that was cozy. We had Camembert to share as a starter and it was as we like it, runny with a sauce that had a kick to it and plenty for 2. For mains my good lady had chicken stroganoff and I had fillet strips with langoustine, exceptional is an understatement, To top it off we shared a strawberry pavlova and again enough for 2. I have to say the things that topped it off were the staff and management. The young serving staff were so pleasant and attentive that it complemented the management and Nicola. Would I recommend it, no I would say miss this gem at your own cost 😊

Just back from couple of nights' stay at this gorgeous lodge hotel. Lovely warm welcome from reception/owners. Cosy log burner churning out heat in the foyer where you can cosy up with a drink or head through to the spacious lounge. The hotel is beautifully presented and the bedrooms are tastefully decorated and immaculately clean. Wonderful double-headed shower. We chose to dine in the restaurant on both nights. Food was delicious with generous-sized portions. If you fancy a pud might be worth asking if a smaller main is available. Serving staff are pleasant and efficient. Colin on the morning shift is an absolute delight and an asset to the hotel. Breakfasts are delicious with plenty of choice. Would definitely return to this hotel when up in the area. Banff has plenty to offer and boasts a beautiful coastline.
