The hotel design is charming and it is a great location. The hotel operation leaves a lot to be desired. First, the technology at check in wasn’t working so it delayed unnecessarily. Second, they placed a hold of €200 PER DAY on my card for incidentals. Third the combined wet room while seemingly a good idea was a slipping hazard. Fourth the key app on the phone worked fine on the doors but never at in the elevators to allow access. Finally given that everything is late in Barcelona, if you are going to lock the front door you need to be more responsive when guests return—no buzzer and we had to wait awhile to be let in.
