安可爾酒店(Anchor Guest House)

If you’re bothered about luxury or space then this isn’t the place for you. However, if you want a FREE secure car parking space and good transport connections to Wembley and central London by bus train etc then this place is ideal to just get your head down and have a half decent place to stay. The manager was nice enough and showed us where to park and where the room was. Be willing to compromise on space for a good location and free and safe parking. The room was tiny but it had a private bathroom with toilet and shower the bed was VERY comfy and I slept well all night with no interruptions. Price reflected what was offered. I didn’t see a breakfast offering but hadn’t planned to have breakfast anyway so wasn’t looking. It is what it is, a no-frills, small, simple, decent enough place to crash with great transport connections. I paid £16 in an uber to Wembley Park which took 20 mins.

Avoid this guest house at all costs. We booked 2 weeks in advance and had travelled across London to get to the Anchor Guest House. 2 tubes stops away from arriving we received a call from the host to say he was cancelling our booking as he was overbooked and had only just seen our reservation. He was very unapologetic. We spent a whole afternoon trying to find alternative accommodation. Completely ruined our day and a wasted afternoon when we could have been sightseeing. Not acceptable on any level.

Esperienza Pessima!!! Siamo arrivati in tarda serata, l'host ci ha aspettati e dopo averci richiesto una caparra per le chiavi (che non gli abbiamo per fortuna dato in quanto non avevamo contanti) ci ha fatti accomodare nella "stanza" ricavata che si trovava nella parte esterna della struttura. Ovviamente la camera non era quella delle foto pubblicate in rete. Era piccola (le valigie non si potevano aprire), maleodorante e sporca con macchie sul pavimento e briciole non spazzate. Il bagno di dimensioni ridotte puzzava di muffa e la doccia sporca e non riceveva acqua. Il lavandino estremamente piccolo. Il phon faceva scintille. Non era presente la cassaforte. La porta di entrata era rotta e rimaneva chiusa solo con la mandata. Letto scomodo e pendente, sotto ci abbiamo trovato infilato un piatto di coccio sporco. La stessa sera abbiamo chiesto via mail il cambio della stanza (alla reception non c'era nessuno) ma la mattina ci è stato detto che sarebbe stato possibile solo il giorno successivo. Questo ovviamente non è successo e il terzo giorno dopo essere rientrati la sera abbiamo scoperto che ci avevano tolto gli asciugamani e non ce li hanno rimessi quindi ci siamo fatti la doccia e asciugati con quelli che ci siamo portati. Esausti dalla situazione abbiamo rimandato una nuova mail e la mattina l'host ci ha cambiato la stanza con una all'interno della struttura. Questa rispecchiava di più quelle presenti in rete ed era più grande. Purtroppo nella parte interna c'è odore constante di ********. Unica nota positiva la vicinanza ai mezzi pubblici e la zona fornita di tutto dai supermercati ai bar, Starbucks ecc.

Awful place , soon as you walk in you could smell ***** ( **** ) it was so strong especially when the staff were around! ,tiny room , no wardrobe, just a rail that you couldn't get to without standing on the bed , tv was only available via apps , but the wifi was non existent...so no tv !! This hotel used to ok as we have stayed there before ,seems to have been taken over by someone else , reception area has now gone , and replaced by another scruffy bedroom , so checked in by someone on a tiny desk and a chair in the corridor , just not good enough , no fridge as advertised .I was in room 19 and looked to me like it used to be some sort of cupboard of tiny store room , just not worth the money they charge , wouldn't stay here again if it was free ...that's how bad it was ! it's gone down hill so drastically, and sad to see it has turned into such a dump ! stay well away ,you'll probably be better off in a Hostel !! yes it's that bad ! !

Horrible. Para el check-in no nos pidieron dni ni nada, solo con el nombre ya nos dieron la llave. Nos dieron al parecer la peor habitación, para acceder habia q pasar por un pasillo al exterior como se ve en la foto y la habitación estaba apartada del resto. En las fotos ponen las habitaciones con ventanas grandes pero la nuestra no tenia ninguna ventana por la que entrara luz y no tenia vistas. Además, muchas habitaciones iban con código y a nosotras nos dieron una llave cutre. Cuando nos empezamos a fijar, vimos que la puerta tenia un agujero que teniamos que tapar por las noches por miedo a que entraran o nos espiaran. Como se ve en las fotos, la ducha tenia el palo roto, habian cepillos usados en el armario, el espejo era enano y ni estaba pegado a la pared, la tetera por dentro estaba asquerosa y la nevera apenas enfriaba. Además, nunca habia nadie atendiendo en el hotel por lo que no nos pudimos ni quejar directamente. Como colmo, en la web pone que hay desayuno y cuando llegamos ahi noa dicen que desde hace dos años que ya no sirven, asi que no han actualizado la pagina, que no os engañen. Para solo dormir esta bien pero por el precio lo veo una estafa.

Avendo speso molto poco per due notti in questa struttura sono abbastanza soddisfatta. Il personale molto gentile e disponibile nei nostri confronti, letti comodi e si vero bagno piccolo come avevo letto ma sicuramente per fare le docce basta e avanza. Prodotti in bagno nella doccia presenti. Prese italiane e inglesi. Phon professionale nell’armadio e tavola da stiro. È in una zona residenziale di golders green dove si trova di tutto e di più e basta attraversare la strada che hai la metto quindi super comodo. Metro e non solo anche stazione del pulman per tornare in aereoporto con national express. Consiglio.

Photos and reviews on website were poor and not up to date. I believed them and then we were in for disappointment. One of my most disappointing stays ever. Room was extremely small, was only big enough for the beds. Shower and bathroom were so small could barely take a dump, or a shower. Great location though, that was also a factor in deciding to stay here. At the end of the day we would've rather stayed at a Travelodge. Sorry that it didn't work out.

Le seul point positif de cet établissement ? L'emplacement. Établissement car ce n'est pas un hôtel, même le terme de guest house est limite. VOL DANS LA CHAMBRE de tous nos souvenirs la veille du départ. L'accès à la chambre se fait par le jardin où traîne des sacs de linge. La chambre est petite, on ne peut pas se déplacer. Elle est également sale et des poils sont retrouvés dans le lit. Pas de rangement. Un coffre mis à disposition plein de traces rouges (sang?). Salle de bain minuscule avec fuite sous le lavabo. Broyeur des toilettes qui se met en route en permanence. Odeur de ******** dans la chambre et le couloir. Réception impoli. Homme très peu agréable et présent uniquement à l'arrivée. Aucune présence du personnel durant notre séjour. A FUIR !!!!
