Room was lovely and clean with everything you need during your stay. Room was serviced however the milk and coffee had not been replenished therefore had to go looking at reception to ask for more - there was no one around at reception area so just went to bar In restaurant and asked for some there. At breakfast there was a good selection and the waitress ( I think her name was Terry) was very pleasant with nothing being too much trouble for her. Cooked breakfast was okay - think it was batch cooked then reheated , didn’t taste freshly cooked to order like it used to be. Hotel looks beautifully decorated but feel the booths make it feel more like a pub surrounding rather than a restaurant. I also felt overall staffing levels are at a minimum and hotel is probably more 3 star than a 4 star. All that said it would be a nice venue for a wedding as it is situated in lovely grounds - maybe that’s more who they cater for now.

Poor regard for customers from GM The last few times I have been there they allow non electric cars to park at their public charge points Spoke to the GM who showed little interest and blamed the owners I pointed out that they were public charge points and he didn’t know that I asked if they could monitor it and ask customers to move and he said no he couldn’t but would write to the owners and express my views 🤔Incidentally the rest of the staff are very good !!!

Very nice hotel in a good location. Easy to park and rooms very good. Cleanliness throughout the hotel was also good. Visit completely spoiled as the bath plug was broken and the reception on the television was so bad that it was unwatchable. I complained to the receptionist who said someone would look at the problems when I was out. When I returned to my room a few hours later there was no difference so I don't know if anyone even looked at the issues. On departure I complained to the receptionist and requested that a manager called me, but six hours later I am still waiting for a call. The room is advertised with a bath and a television, and that's what I paid for but unfortunately I wasn't able to use either - Simply not good enough!

This was a lovely property to stay at . Although some of the staff were very friendly and welcoming I felt that a few treated me a bit like an inconvenience. Also there were people running between rooms in the middle of the night making a lot of noise. I mentioned this to staff on checkout and they didn’t seem bothered and no apology given .

Great hotel, can't really fault it. I booked very late on the same day for work purposes and they called to let me know a wedding was on and my room was directly over it, they offered to waive any fees if i were to cancel which I appreciated. I went anyway but it's great communication by the hotel to call and mention the wedding, The noise in the room was crazy, but it died down at 10:30 and stopped completely at 11pm so not bad and I was warned so no complaints there. The room itself was very comfortable and spacious, had a great night's sleep in the bed and the rain shower was great. I had dinner and breakfast here and both were very good. Overall, highly recommended and I will be back!
