It was a very bad experience staying at WestPoint House in Barrow. The level of noise was unbelievable and unbearable . To rectify this, I informed the manager but nothing was done about it. Instead she was of the defence that I did not inform her that I was on night shifts as if I had to discuss the purpose of lodging in the house. The whole essence of paying and staying in the house was to have a tranquil environment for 24 hours peace of mind but that I did not get. Though an apology was rendered but the problems were not resolved. I suggested a change of room but I was totally ignored as if I am not important. In summary, I did not enjoy my 3 nights stay and I believe strongly that customer satisfaction is not their priority.

Lovely place to stay, bit like home from home . Would liked to have had a car to see surrounding areas but was picked up from Devon by a friend. Did the Dave day weekend . Everything clean and tidy and loads of facility's to do your own thing. Would certainly recommend providing you aren't expecting hotel facility's ie bar and restaurant.

Just got home from a lovely weekend at this hidden gem, West Point Woods. We stayed in a glamping pod! Fresh, clean, everything you need! Basket of logs and coal provided for the fire pit & BBQ. The younger ones were entertained with play area, chalk board, swing & slide, even an outdoor play kitchen. The hammocks were a hit for the mid afternoon snooze, walking distance to beautiful beaches and nature reserve. A family of 11 aging from 2 to 70 all had a fabulous relaxing break, will sure to be back.

What a fabulous place! The room was lovely, beautifully presented, the kitchen is so well equipped and spotlessly clean and a large comfortable lounge and garden area. When i booked I had my reservations as it is listed as contractors accommodation , so I had to trust in the great reviews it receives. It is as good as any hotel I have stayed in for a lot more money, I just had the best weekend there and will definitely return. The staff are just the best and clearly work hard at presenting this very well organised and spotlessly clean accommodation. Walney Island is lovely feels remote along the coastal area but close enough to walk to Barrow in under a hour or there is a very good bus service. Get off at West Point, cross the road and go through Eden Ave and just follow the road round. Barrow town is surprisingly nice with a lot of shops and cafes and great bus service into the Lake District area of Ulverston and Windermere and British Rail connections .

Really comfortable and very clean. The garden was beautiful and the staff were really friendly. The location was in a good place and really close to the beaches.Tbe wife loved it. Will definitely visit again.
