OYO 巴斯貝爾布魯克郊外小屋民宿(OYO Bailbrook Lodge, Bath)

Positives - excellent receptionist (Vipin) and without his help I would have probably checked out early. Has parking. Reasonable location and access into central Bath. Has an electric kettle and a pack of cookies. Not so positives - In desperate need of upgrade, creaking floors, wash basin outside the bathroom. It isn’t for work related travellers as you cannot even use an iron without tripping off the entire building main switch and once that happen there is no 24 hour active reception. No fan or iron provided in room so you have to ask. Tiny computer monitor used as a make shift TV that you have to pull out of a closet. No drinking water in room. Value for money not there as many better locations available at same or lower price.

Very old but clean

Old style character building but clean and comfortable with all conveniences and very friendly service. Staff were excellent as was the breakfast. Would have preferred not to pre-order breakfast the night before but not a big issue. Recommended for visit to Bath as bus stop is almost outside and more convenient (and cheaper) than trying to park in the city.

A night away after going to the Christmas lights at the American museum. Big family "suite" with a four poster in one room and 2 singles in the adjoining room, located in the basement. Toasty warm in the rooms, bathroom a little cold and dated. Quirky feel to the place - old furniture (though serviceable) and slightly musty. Excellent service and a lovely breakfast - fine for our needs.

The Bailbrook was full of period character, clean and functional. The room was small but bug enough for our two night trip. Bathroom was clean but could do with a bit of tidying (grout etc).

I booked this for a 1 night stay on a journey home from Cornwall and this is definitely not a 4* hotel. The whole place needs a massive clean and update. The beds were old and underneath the duvet cover, pillows and bottom sheet was very stained. We would have not stayed but coped for ! night as we weren't in the hotel for a long time. the receptionist was very helpful and the breakfast was very good.

We had a lovely room overlooking the garden and a canopy bed. A 19th century manor house converted to a 15 room lodge. Beautiful appointments albeit a bit shabby. A hot full English breakfast was included. Cocktails were available til 10:00 pm. About 1.5 miles from the center of town. Our favorite feature was interacting with the proprietor Viki. He was friendly and helpful with advice a bout restaurants, cabs and other info about Bath. we loved interacting with him. He made our stay very nice.

Very pleasant for a night stop. We wanted to visit Bath, arrived early, parked the car and went to the city by bus. We were made aware that the hotel did not have a restaurant so ate in the city and came back later. It worked for us.
