De accommodatie ligt prachtig en de kamer zijn netjes. De service staat echter niet in verhouding met de prijs die je hiervoor betaald. Er is nauwelijks tot geen keuze in maaltijden, ontbijt is excl. Verder hebben wij de bediening als onprettig ervaren, deze volgde je overal, was te overdreven vriendelijk en daarnaast best wel opdringerig als t ging over wel of niet bestellen van n drankje. Wij voelde ons door dit alles niet echt comfortabel op deze locatie.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour à Lemoenfontein. Le lodge possède beaucoup de charme. Les chambres sont spacieuses, propres et bien équipées. Nous sommes à 20mn de route du parc du Karoo. Le patron et le personnel sont très sympathiques. On se sent un peu chez soi. Petits déjeuners et repas délicieux.

Amazing place and team, excellent rooms only topped by friendly service! After years of rushing past on the N1 finally stayed over, only regret is not doing it earlier. So far off the N1 that you can enjoy the Karoo-silence! Well worth the few km drive away from the highway.

Roadtripping in South Africa is such a joy ... with a new suprise at every turn..... Lemoensfontein is up there with the best. A peaceful oasis in the heart of the Karoo ... nestled at the base of impressive hills and looking out of over the Karoo vlakte......a destination not just for a night but for a few days. Well thought through very comfortable accommodation and a "family" of staff who host the guests with a great sense of pride and warm hospitality. Log fireplaces abound in winter and a lush garden and pool perfectly temper the summer heat. Delicious meals round off a perfect stay.

Even the most casual observer would note that Beaufort West has more bed-nights available per annum than any town, destination or sheep station of similar size in the known universe. Granted, some of these are spare bedrooms or converted garages in somebody’s backyard. Lemoenfontein is totally different. Set slightly out of town, it sets the tone for being a world apart. Gracious country living, friendly staff, luxurious rooms and a three course dinner sets the standard to which others can only aspire. A venue to appreciate and enjoy!

My wife and I spent two nights at Lemoenfontein as part of a 10 day Karoo road trip. It’s a great location and close to the Karoo National Park and is more than just an overnight stop. We should have made time for an extra day to do local hikes and cycle.

We recently stayed at Lemoenfontein in the Karoo and it was such a wonderful experience. The food was absolutely delicious — every meal was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully prepared. The rooms were spotless, very comfortable, and had a calm, peaceful feel to them which made it easy to relax and enjoy the surroundings. One of my favourite parts of our stay was the many cats on the property! They added such a homely, charming touch and made the experience even more memorable for an animal lover like me. The atmosphere is quiet, the service is friendly, and the setting is beautifully serene with typical Karoo landscapes stretching out in every direction. I would 100% recommend Lemoenfontein to anyone looking for a restful, authentic Karoo getaway. Would definitely love to go back

Time at Lemoenfontein is really a privilege and something to look forward to. Especially the lovely dinners and good quality of wine.

This is my go to stop on my way from Joburg to Cape Town. Everyone is super friendly and helpful, always want one more day at the property. Food was very good and having a fireplace in the room is an added bonus - ask them to light it while you have dessert! Great stay!

After we sat down for dinner, a couple sat down behind us and played their own (opera) music, quite loudly at their table, on a mobile phone. It troubled all other dinner guests whilst management made no attempt to ask them to switch it off. It was unpleasant and our expensive dinner was spoiled completely. Management seemed to know the couple and did not try to intervene.

I was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience.Staff friendly and helpful.Dinner/Breakfast good.Bar selection good.Room finishes and view exceptional.Worth a revisit.
