We zijn heel goed ontvangen. Het was er wel rustig maar het ligt heel mooi. Restaurant is gezellig met een open haard die goed gestookt wordt. Is ook nodig wat in de avond koelt het deze tijd goed af. Het is wel wat verouderd maar prijs kwaliteit helemaal goed. Fijn dat er wel een elektrische dekens waren.

Di ritorno dal Kruger NP e diretti a Johannesburg, ci siamo fermati in questa location sia per dormire, spezzando così il viaggio, sia per cenare. La parte albergo? Semplicemente straordinaria! Io e mia moglie eravamo in una bellissima e spaziosissima camera matrimoniale con un letto enorme e con tutti i comfort necessari. Bellissima la vista dalla camera. I ragazzi (due ragazzi e una ragazza) erano invece sistemati in un cottage semplicemente meraviglioso! Enorme, indipendente e arredato di tutto il necessario per una vacanza all'insegna del relax. Sicuramente da considerare come idea per una vacanza nella bellissima campagna sudafricana. Il ristorante? Abbiamo cenato e fatto la colazione il giorno successivo. L'ambientazione del ristorante è bellissima. Tutto è curato nei minimi particolari. Il personale di sala è gentilissimo e simpaticissimo. Si mangia bene e si spende il giusto. L'unico neo dell'esperienza (ma non dipende certo da questa struttura) è la strada per arrivare, che mette a dura prova le sospensioni di qualsiasi macchina. Comunque, da consigliare assolutamente!

This hotel is a shadow of its former self and feels like it’s at the end of its life. The property is outdated, with a dirty pool and rooms that are both unclean and very old-fashioned. There’s no air conditioning, and we even found belongings from previous guests under the bed. The reception area lacks any welcoming atmosphere and didn’t even provide us with the Wi-Fi password. Although the staff in the restaurant was friendly, we were the only guests there. A disappointing experience overall. Place will probably close soon.

the worst hotel I have ever been. My family and I lived a nightmare. The hotel is completely isolated and totally dark in the night. There isn’t security service. No one welcomed us and helped us to bring our luggage to our room. During the night while we were sleeping a man entered in our room and stole from us all our phones. In our room there wasn’t a phone to ask for help, we opened the windows and we tried to scream asking for help but no one came to help us. The hotel didn’t want to repay us the damages of this event.

And unattractive entrance and lacklustre reception ‘greets’ new arrivals. The room we had was dated and not well maintained, with no air conditioning, a poor quality TV, no mini-bar, and many fittings looking the worst for wear. A somewhat uninspiring view over a muddy dam is the reward for a torturous ride over the last seven kilometres on something bearing little resemblance to a road. Our room had been meagrely serviced with bath mats and other items missing. If this hotel wants to attract guests they are going to have to up their game - there are better options in this beautiful part of the world.

Needs an update on the whole property. Rooms were comfy and clean. Food was quite disappointing. Not worth the expense many other 4 star places would be.

What a wonderful getaway! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, friendly, and incredibly inviting. Even though we only stayed for two nights, it honestly felt like we had enjoyed a full week’s holiday. The staff were exceptionally helpful throughout our stay, and it was clear that guest experience is a top priority. Stuart, the General Manager, was visible, attentive, and genuinely involved in ensuring everyone was comfortable and well looked after. The food was absolutely lovely — we can highly recommend both the mussels and the steak! The spa was another highlight, offering amazing treatments, excellent service, and very reasonable pricing. This is truly the perfect place to relax, unwind, and completely switch off. We would love to return again, especially with our children. We’ve previously visited another one of the group’s properties, Midlands Saddle and Trout, which we also loved and hope to visit again — but Kloppenheim Country Estate is honestly on another level. Thank you for spoiling us with such a fantastic weekend away!

I only came here for a lunch at The Triple Twigs, but I enjoyed my time there. Very nice venue with amazing views and nice walks on the property. Plenty of activities when you stay overnight. The service was very friendly and professional. I went there for the Sunday lunch. It was very quiet, but I've been accommodated very nicely. The food was OK, using local products.

Our 1st visit to Kloppenheim Estate. What a beautiful, scenic setting. Hidden from the main N4. Rooms and bathroom are luxurious. The fireplace a bonus. Thank you for the free wood. Food was delicious. Barman friendly and welcoming. Enjoyed meeting Stompie the resident cat too. Abundant birdlife.
