I picked this hotel as it was central to where I needed to be for working. When I arrived after a long journey, check in was slow. I stayed for 2 nights. The wifi did not work the whole time I was there, which meant I could not work once I had finished the job I was on. The bathroom was horrible, didn't feel nice at all and was so old and marked. Went to wash my hair and the shampoo was completely empty which I only found out once I was already in the shower... Hairdryer smelt like it was burning and again was so old. It did singe my hair so stopped using it. The room was okay, beds were fine. Hallway smelt of ****. As a lone female traveller, I didn't feel great about being here if I'm honest, which is a feeling I haven't experienced before.
I wouldn't have minded but for £213 for 2 nights (£107 per night) I would have expected it to be a bit nicer, but even the basics weren't there. If I'd had paid £60 a night, I would have accepted it all, but not at the cost I paid. Not okay. Sadly means I wouldn't go back, which is a shame because I work away a lot, and having an electric car I often stay in hotels at services for ease of charging.
