Wunderbares Grundstück, schönes Haus, sehr nettes Personal, tolles Frühstück. Auch das Essen im Restaurant war hervorragend. Allerdings könnte das Haus einen Anstrich vertragen, die sehr laute Klimaanlage ( Zimmer 5) ausgetauscht werden und auch die Terrasse ein gepflegteres Erscheinungsbild erhalten ( Unkraut, Möbel u.a.).

Presentation was simply the most beautiful I have ever seen. Service was absolutely welcoming / excellent (the owner themselves). The food was exceptional!

Four Chimneys is a classic Vermont inn. The staff is amazingly professional, but also friendly and helpful. We happened to book one of the carriage house rooms and it was above and beyond our expectations. Very large, decorated beautifully, just a wonderful place to be. The complementary breakfast was delicious, and the inn offered other very nice amenities, as well. I am sorry to say I didn't get her name, but there is a young lady with red hair who works there who is amazing; going completely out of her way to make your stay as wonderful as possible. There were very small things we needed help with or corrected and she helped us and anticipated what else we might need even before we realized it. She deserves serious kudos and maybe a raise.

This is a beautiful, historic property and pretty consistent with the photos on the website. The room I had was just as pretty with some antique furnishings, but of course in person you notice that it is an old building. The room was a great size, and I loved the hardwood floors. The bathroom was also large and you are provided a sundry of items for convenience. The bed was comfortable, though it did seem to have a center depression. The only other issue I had was that though the the showerhead seemed to have a dial to adjust pressure, I was not able to. Overall the property is in great condition. The staff were welcoming, and the breakfast was outstanding, served in their traditional, historic, and charming restaurant space.

Perfection!! What an absolutely amazing stay!! Everything was perfect. Highly recommend having dinner onsite.

Lovely Inn - Delicious Food - A Pleasant Surprise This is a lovely Inn that is as charming as its setting. An unexpected pleasure was the delicious food. I loved that you pick your breakfast time and food choice the day before. My only regret was not staying long enough to have each of the breakfast offerings. An added delight was dinner at the Inn. Definitely a 5 star experience. We ate there two nights - each meal choice was superb. Service matched the taste. An overall delightful experience, well worth the cost. I'm still dreaming about those meals - wish I took the chef home with me!

A Big Big Thank You to Kate, Marc and staff. After stopping at the Four Chimneys back in 2014 we decided to head back stateside from the UK to this tranquil place to get married. Everything was beyond our wildest expectations. Nothing was too much trouble, Kate helped us set our dreams in motion. Everything went perfectly. The four Chimneys is a beautiful old home with amazing well kept grounds. The room we had was fantastic, spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was divine. The 3 course meal we had on the wedding night was out of this world. We could not fault any part of our stay and look forward to returning in the future. Thanks Again. Matt and Clare H

The owners are there everyday. The staff is friendly and very custimer focused. The standards are high and the inn has a great history and is lovely. It felt more like being a house guest than a customer. The restaurant was an outstanding choice for dinner and accommodation for vegetarians and allergies were taken into consideration and excellent meals with tasty desserts and great wine and cocktails now has this on our summer spots to visit!!

We celebrated an anniversary party in February 2025 and it was a perfect choice. The dinners were superb and kudos to the chef for these fine tasting meals. The management and staff were very welcoming and service was phenomenal. If you are looking for a nice quality meal or just relaxing at the bar with a beautiful ambience, I highly recommend.
