奧斯特洛貝加莫酒店(Ostello di Bergamo)

O local é limpo, organizado, grande, bem localizado, local lindo e muito aconchegante. Gostaria de morar no hostel heheh. Com certeza voltarei, conheci pessoas legais e o atendimento é muito simpático e acolhedor. Contém um ótimo café da manhã, máquina de café e máquina de venda de bebida e alimentos.

Last minute booking in Bergamo. Don’t have too much to say on this place apart from, only stay here if you are getting an early / late flight from Bergamo airport… if even that ! The location of this hostel is extremely far out of everything. It is doable to walk to the main attractions but with bags etc no a hope. Despite the location, the hostel is well equipped. The staff here are extremely nice and welcoming and the main floor / common area that holds few comfy seats and the breakfast area. I was on the second floor, in a 6 bed mixed dorm. A very basic dorm indeed yet it did have an en suite. I did get a single bed to myself but overall it was more a place to lay your head and head off early / late. The lockers are very tight and most are broken ( for locking purposes ) The breakfast is surprisingly very good for Italy lots of selections! There is also a rooftop terrace which is pretty nice on a sunny morning. Kitchen is equipped fairly basically but would do well for cooking up some good grub. However do note a lot of people staying here are just there for the night so expect an early awaking for people leaving to catch flights etc. There isn’t much social if any here. A DJ plays some nights but unless a crowd is here it is very sad.. Would only recommend for those catching a flight / arriving in late. Or if you do not mind a hostel 40mins out of the city then definitely check it.

Uno de los hostel con mejor desayuno en los que he estado, con bollería recién hecha, panes, mantequilla y mermelada, cereales, yogures, café, leche, zumo, queso y jamón. Personal súper amable y dispuesto, el chico que me atendió hablaba español (es muy de agradecer) Dispones de cocina comunitaria para poder preparar la comida que lleves, pero si no llevas nada tampoco es un problema, tienen carta de comida para llevar de varios restaurantes que te llevan la comida hasta el hostel. Las instalaciones son muy básicas, pero están limpias. La única pega, es lo apartado que está de todo, aunque en nuestro caso eso no fue un problema ya que llevábamos coche. Por cierto no hay parking privado en el hotel, pero puedes aparcar en las inmediaciones.

Está bastante lejos del centro de Bergamo. El chico de recepción súper amable.

I felt in love with Bergamo but I must say the staff from Bergamo ostello contributed to this. I liked that hostel a lot . Room with view at Bergamo, sweet breakfast and good price for the quality. But people make places and here the hostel staff do a really good job. Very helpfull, with good piece of advice what to see, where to eat etc., very friendly. Especially thanks to Giordano who even try to learn polish to say welcome polish to the in polish guest. Always with smile and he do everything to make your enjoy the stay in Bergamo and in the hostel.

We were supposed to arrive with a school group in spring 2020. We paid deposit of 2300 Euros in December 2019. Until today the management is unavailable, money is lost and no one has replied to multiple emails we have sent. The last time someone replied to my many messages was December 2021. No reply since then. It is outrageous that after so much time passes and so many promises and understanding this place just took our money and nothing. I think, even with C situation, more than two years to solve this was enough.

I found the vibe I was looking for in a hostel : nice people working there, always ready to help with a smile, lot of fun and meeting people from around the world The hostel itself is quite far from the city center but there are many buses doing the trip all day if you don’t want to walk too much If you are planning on going for hikes or bike in the forest mountains all around, the location is excellent ! Concerning the room, little improvement could be made by adding a bigger panel to the shower and adding some curtains to the beds for intimacy, but it was more than alright The desk is open 24/7 and when you check in you are provided with a card to access your room, there is an elevator and a rooftop terrace Free breakfast is served every morning with cereals, milk, coffee, croissants, bread, chocolate, tea, ham, cheese…. The common area also provides you with books, sofa, card games… Everything you need to meet people and have fun ! If I was to come back to Bergamo one day, I’d surely be back at the same place ;) See you all 👋

Great view from our bedroom balcony of the mountains and Bergamo old town. Breakfast limited but tasty! Will stay here again as the view from the rooms were spectacular. Rooms are as expected for a hostel bunk beds and a double but hostel type. No coffee from filter when asked for more machine took ages pour out! Essentially all I can think of ref what’s wrong.

The positive aspect of this location is how prompt and helpful the front desk was in regards to a taxi transfer… Besides that, the room would have probably been worth 20€, not 47€ as we paid 😬. After we found a very beautiful hotel 900 m from the city center at 63€ we decided that it would be a better idea to find a cheaper option considering we are going to spend a few hours before our morning flight in Bergamo. The pictures of the rooms don’t do justice of how the place really looks like… Even if it looks clean, the walls would definitely need a fresh coat of paint. We knew that we are staying in a hostel but especially for that we booked a double room with private bathroom and still it was weird. Please take into consideration the following: - the location is at an hour walking distance from the city center and part of it on a stiff heel (I damaged the wheels of my suitcase getting there) - you have to put on your bedsheet on a questionably “clean” duvet —＞ the pillow case looked dirty so we used the wet towel to wrap the pillow with it - the beds are as one can see in the pictures metal beds —＞ what you can’t see is that the mattresses are awfully uncomfortable - they only provide 1 towel for the whole stay (we only spent 7 hours there so it wasn’t a problem) - if you need a hairdryer or an adaptor you would have to rent it from the reception 🙄 - our room had a small balcony which was useless because the door wouldn’t open - you have the smallest TV one can imagine (the size of a small Ipad) —＞ so small, you can’t even read what the program your watching is called As I said, we just had a quick nap before going back to the airport, but someone who plans spending a few nights in Bergamo, I would definitely not recommend this place… I stayed in hostels before, but this one is definitely not worth the bucks spent! We paid 47€ for 1 night (breakfast included) —＞ I cannot say how the breakfast was as we left at 5 AM. My advice: pay that 20€ extra per night and make your stay in Bergamo an enjoyable one!
