Rooms haven't been updated since the 70s....We used the restaurant; the bread, served (and paid) as extra side dish, consisted in slices of packed bread that you find in any supermarket........I can only comment positively on the outside sitting and the breakfast area. For the rest, I suggest to look around and you'll certainly find something better and probably cheaper. Not 4 stars at all, 3 mediocre stars max.

The hotel carries both names because it's located in two buildings. Be aware though, that this is not a hotel for anyone with mobility issues. Neither building seems to have a working lift and there are some extremely steep stairs if you are located in the Tulip Hotel. The rooms are not very big but they do have everything you need (although I couldn't get my heating to work). Breakfast costs extra and is not cheap, but there is an amazing selection of hot and cold foods and the staff will happily bring you any type of coffee you wish. The staff are lovely and very helpful. There is a nice large bar area for relaxing in. I would think this hotel would be great for people on business on a budget. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the city centre and Grote Markt as well as about 10 minutes' walk from the train station.

The location is great, the room design is also great, the beds and pillows are good. However, i had two things in my booking (through their own webpage) queen sized bed and air condition. When i got to the hotel i got, what they called, ”an upgrade” so i got a suite at the top with a comfortable 30 degrees indoor and an air-condition that was blowing outside air aka, a wall mounted fan. The night guy was really friendly and offered me 00:25 a room with a functioning AC but no queen sized bed. Second night i got a room with AC and a queen sized bed, but the AC stopped working with the outside temp got to 25, then it just shut down and the room got hot and humid again. I paid an extra $25 to get a queensized bed and when i went to the front desk and demanded a refund or a voucher they kept their line saying i got an upgrade of my room and was not eligible for a $20 (out of a total 200-250$). They however did refund me the $20 when i compared the upgrade from a rental car if you order a compact car but get a Rolls Royce with three wheels; in theory its an upgrade but you still want to be able to ride the car. It is a shame for the hotel, everything else was great and they would have gotten away with it if they at least showed some interest in customer success management.

The staff are very helpful and nice. They don't act like your a bother if you ask for extra things. I arrived fairly late and after the timing that they indicated their restaurant to be open, however they still accomodated for me so I could eat. There is sufficient parking and they even have charging for EV, which was a very pleasant surprise for me. The food both dinner and breakfast were of high quality and very good.

Als oud Roosendaler kwam ik in Hotel Restaurant Central terecht. Iets wat je als plaatsgenoot niet vaak doet. Wat mij verraste was dat het restaurant aan echte smaken deed. De tournedos was heerlijk vers en precies goed gebakken en de zoetigheden bij de cappuccino waren de echte Hollande aardbeien en echte Belgische chocolade. Echte smaken nog. Maar wat daar bovenop kwam was de personaliteit van de bediening. Ik kon het dan ook niet laten tegen haar te zeggen dat zij oprecht lief is voor haar gasten. En dat was niet gespeeld. Waar zie je dat nog?

Het was de 2de keer dat we dit hotel boekten voor 1 nacht omdat dit hotel kort bij Roosendaal licht en ook dicht bij Breda, dus je kan kiezen waar naartoe. Het hotel is makkelijk bereikbaar, rustig gelegen en afgesloten parking aan het hotel (met 4 laadpunten voor electrische wagens). Onthaal was net zoals vorige keer vlot, en heel enthousiast. We boekten een luxe kamer aangezien die wat ruimer is. Deze lag op het einde van de gang net naast de snelweg. Toen we de kamer binnen kwamen hoorden we meteen best veel lawaai van dat verkeer. Bleek dat de dubbele ramen niet goed dicht waren, maar eens dat in orde was, hoorde je nog amper iets! Badkamer was ook ruim, netjes en alles wat je nodig had was aanwezig. Airco/verwarming werkte ook goed & snel en vooral zonder al te veel lawaai. Kleine frigo aanwezig & koffiezetje. Uitchecken was ook vlot, iets minder enthousiast maar dat was waarschijnlijk omdat ze ook alles in orde moest houden na het ontbijt.

Hotel is aan verfrissing toe. De eetzaal is wel heel netjes en van deze tijd. De kamers helaas niet. Het schoonmaken zou beter kunnen. Personeel is vriendelijk, merkbaar dat er een personeels te kort is. Tijdens het ontbijt moesten sommige gasten aangeven wat er op was. Gelukkig werd het vrij snel weer aangevuld.
