詹貝魯旅館(The Lodge Jamberoo)

Whilst first impressions were wonderful the rooms were a let down . Travelled with 2 grand children 9 & 6. The newer sections of establishment were lovely but the rooms are very tired ( not like the picture used in adverts!) & not family friendly for an extended stay. No microwave, no toaster, no utensils re crockery / cutlery. no table to even make a sandwich on ( after I purchased plastic crockery & cutlery)....Very difficult when you are in an isolated area like this & kids are tired after big days & you cannot just get something quick & easy for a meal. Yes the restaurant was lovely but after a couple of days it is both too expensive & kids menu boring....you can only eat so much spaghetti bol & pizza. I guess the question is what is your target demographic? I understand the wedding market is extremely lucrative but if in holidays you are targeting the family then allowances need to be made at those times for a change. Kids club was good, pool area was lovely but rooms & unaccommodating chef let it down sadly.

The grounds are beautiful with a retro feel mixed with modern design elements. The pool was fantastic as were the spa and sauna. There were organised activities for kids during the school holidays though we didn't use them and also a games room with table tennis and a full and mini pool table. The bar was decent. No brekky though except for some brekky hamper thing which I feel is a bit of a pity. Rooms were fairly basic but neat. Mattresses were med firm and the beds were squeaky! Pillows were quite lumpy so this is definitely an area that needs improvement. The rooms also could use some decor and perhaps a side table under the TV with guest information etc. There just wasn't alot of space to put things on so these could definitely use some work. The overall experience was great but the rooms I feel lack the extra finesse that gives it a polished feel.

The perfect escape! So close to Sydney! We have stayed at the lodge twice this year! We love it! We first stayed the end of January for a relaxing weekend getaway!! We were blown away by the resort! Such beautiful interiors and amazing styling! Beautiful outside grounds surround by the hills and river. So beautiful to wake up to such calm surrounds. We had our 1 year old with us and loved the pool area and games room. So much grounds for her to explore and a lovely kids garden. The champagne garden is the perfect place for lunch and cocktails and there was live music on the Saturday we stayed there. We didn’t leave the resort for the weekend! We just soaked up the atmosphere and chilled! We stayed again in July. This time with some friends. We had such a great time sitting around the fire pits siping mulled wine. We ate in the stunning restaurant lulus both night. We had the Christmas in July menu and the food was just incredible! Next morning we had a breakfast basket deliver to our door and had a cosy breakfast in bed then used the hot tub! This resort really has it all! Style, atmosphere, incredible food and cocktails and the most amazing staff and facilities!! I can’t rate it enough and we will definitely be going every year for both a summer and winter getaway!

Just WOW!!! We spent two night at the lodge in jamberoo and it was absolutely perfect. We at at lulus restaurant and the food was absolutely beautiful, the decor is out of the world, Stunning!!!! Cocktail in fins bar and in the beautiful cocktail garden while listening to live acoustic local artists was the best afternoon. The kids had space to play and the staff were amazingly helpful with all our requests. The breakfast basket is so generous and we snacked on the beautiful pastries and condiments with crusty bread all morning !!! Jamberoo is such a beautiful spot and so glad we discovered the lodge, we will be back with friends and family soon! Thanks for having us guys we loved every moment!!!

Such a wonderful venue near to the mountains and the ocean on the South Coast NSW. Really wonderful team and special thanks to Brent and Ollie for being so helpful. We ran out of tea and Ollie donated his Yorkshire tea stash to us. So fab! Pool is awesome. And the roast pork was exceptional.

Great place for a short stay of no more than 2 nights. The grounds are stunning, perfect for a wedding with guest being able to stay on site. Food: On the first night we dined at Lulus. Dinner was great, we had 3 courses each, 2 cocktails, a beer, a wine and a coke and it came to $200. Well worth it in our opinion. On the second night we had an early dinner in the champagne garden. We ordered pizza, cocktails and a grazing board which were great. The deserts and sides were exactly the same as the menu in Lulus the night before though so if you were staying more than 2 nights you would really need to go elsewhere to eat. The staff in both of these venues were great. According to an instagram story they have room service available but there was no menu or QR code in the room. Coffee was available in the mornings but if you wanted any food, you had to pre-order a breakfast basket for $35 per adult. We chose not to and instead went elsewhere for breakfast - Berry the first morning and Jamberoo the second. Offering a simple breakfast menu without having to pre-order would really enhance peoples stay. Facilities: The pool is lovely but not heated, the sauna was great and while we didn't use the hot tub, it seemed good too. On first impression the gym looked good but unfortunately 1 of the treadmills was broken and the other was so loud it sounded like it was going to break too. The assault bike didnt have the cassette in it to track distance or calories and unfortunately there was only 1 x 10kg dumbell. While most people do go away to relax, it is nice to have the option to get a good workout in. Room: Our room was 101, on the ground floor. It was clean and spacious with a well stocked mini bar of full size items at reasonable prices, we didnt use it but it was appreciated. The bathroom could do with an upgrade, which is probably included in phase 2 of the renovation plans. Some things that could improve the rooms at the full price point: * A spare blanket and extra pillow in the cupboard (especially for winter) * Chromecast or netflix in the room * A number in the compendium to call for any noise complaints. We never complain but the people in the neighbouring room on the second night were really loud and "energetic" wink wink - keeping us awake until the early hours of the morning. It is essentially still a motel so the rooms arent very soundproof. We booked to celebrate our 10year anniversary and all in all, we had a nice time but we wouldn't be likely to return unless some of the above changed. Its a one and done type of place for me. If we had of paid the full standard summer rate we would have been really disappointed, but thankfully we had a cheaper winter deal.

The setting and common areas of The Lodge are really lovely and striking as is the landscaping, however, the condition of the accomodation rooms is very poor. They are extremely tired, basic and don’t feel overly clean. Staff are all friendly and helpful however appear to be operating on a skeleton basis. Hopefully the second stage of upgrades happens sooner rather than later and this venue becomes a more complete and enjoyable stay.

Hidden gem. If you like a quite little getaway then this is the place to stay.
