Glad we chose Mercure for our 4-night stay. For a 4 stars, the rooms are small. However the furniture, the beds are very good quality. Staff was polite and professional and friendly. Location is excellent! We enjoyed crossing through the park and a bridge to reach town within 5 minutes walk. The parking was a huge plus. Breakfast is offers great choice and has quality products. Staff very professional and courteous. Bathroom amenities are basic but good quality shower and shampoo. Nothing else. Do carry your own. Will definitely recommend this hotel and will return again.

Stayed for 1N whilst in Besancon. It was somewhat challenging to find the entrance to this hotel - my satnav took me to the right area but signposted the wrong side of the road, and because there was no lighting at all on the signage at the entrance to the road to the Ibis at night, it didn't catch my eye. So a few wasted drives past searching for the entrance to the parking garage in the wrong place. Room was good for the price. No issues on that front. Breakfast was continental. Average range of options. Price very reasonable, and competitive.

J'ai bien apprécié mon séjour à l'Ibis centre de Besançon, vraiment très bien situé, on est au cœur de la ville. Il y a un parking à 10 € la nuit, mais le passage est étroit, il vaut mieux connaître les dimensions de sa voiture et savoir manœuvrer ( moi j'ai une C4 Picasso qui passait tout juste en rabattant les rétros). Sinon il y a le parking du marché des arts à 200 m. La chambre est correcte, la salle de bains est bien équipée. C'est peut-être mieux de ne pas avoir de chambre donnant sur la rue, dans les nuits de vendredi et samedi j'ai eu droit aux brailleurs avinés vers 2h du matin. Un petit mot concernant l'accueil, il est vraiment super. Un hôtel où je risque de revenir !

Very well located next to the city centre and a tram stop with a convenient underground parking - a bit tight for large cars. Our room was of a good size, very clean and quiet. The staff was nice. We did not have breakfast because of the cost of it.
