A beautiful place to stay, the room was spotless, very comfortable and lovely and spacious. The staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. We will definitely be returning. Food amazing too! A fantastic weekend. Perfect location.

Warm friendly atmosphere and the food was brilliant. Five star dining at reasonable prices. An extra special thank you to the lovely young gentleman Matt who went above and beyond to make our visit extra special, he really was the cherry on top of an excellent visit would go again.

Lovely place, nice bar - although quite expensive I thought, pint and a small wine £14. Clean, staff were welcoming. Young chap serving in the restaurant was very chatty and polite. Good service, although we had fish and chips food was lovely and a large plateful. Busy so do book.

This certainly is an average hotel with some areas the of decoration tired and requiring attention. The bar sitting area didn’t feel warm or inviting with the food menu being limited and disappointing, together with the drinks being over priced. The hotel restaurant seemed to be closed most evenings which was a surprise, considering we were informed that the hotel was full. The hotel staff were polite and helpful.

Used to love the cocktails here now they are awful. Passion fruit martinis always come with a shot of Prosecco - we were told it had already been added ?!?! So we weren’t given one ….. either way won’t be back the service has gotten worse over each visit we have had here and the management don’t even care . What ashame used to be our “must visit” place on a trip to Betwys y coed.

We booked a table in the bar here as our one evening meal out on a week’s self catering holiday locally as we’ve previously had good meals here. We couldn’t have been more disappointed this time. They had one member of staff on the bar when we arrived and we waited for around 10 minutes to order. We then waited an hour for food. During this time I chased it up (at 40 minutes and 50 minutes) with two different staff members, neither of whom came back to update us. From a 7.15 reservation our food arrived at 8.45. The two children were exhausted and starving. One of their meals was luke warm. They ate it regardless because they were hungry. No one came to check how our meals were. When someone eventually cleared our plates I complained and suggested it might be a nice gesture to knock something off the bill. The waiter went to the kitchen and came back saying that the wait time was ‘as expected for a bank holiday weekend’ and as we had eaten our food there would be no concession. I explained that had we been told about the wait time we would have had the option to make alternative arrangements but they’d taken our money and just left us waiting, to a point where it was almost too late to have even gone elsewhere- most kitchens take last food orders at 8.30-9pm - and we had two children with us. He shrugged. That was that. I’m so appalled. We’ve eaten here on every visit to the area for the last 3 years (we have family nearby). We won’t be coming back. Rude, unprofessional, and terrible service. Food was very average.

Friendly staff, quiet room that was a good size and well decorated, bathroom also nice and smart with miniature toiletries supplied. Dinner was served promptly, as was the breakfast, which was nice but quite expensive. Limited parking on site but not difficult to park nearby.

First time I've stayed here and it wont be the last. Staff were so friendly and helpful. The meal was superb and breakfast offered a great variety We had the surprise benefit of the drying room, which after a day in heavy rain, was very welcome. Thank you to all of the staff for such a great stay.

A couple of free parking spaces at the hotel when we arrived. Easy check in , asked if we required breakfast at the time. £2 more that on our booking reference. She said it wasn’t updated! Sunday lunch was lovely, with not a long wait. The room was clean and airy. Last orders was shouted at 10pm🤨 (Sunday night) The only reason it hasn’t got 5 stars is the breakfast. You had to pre order the night before. No pastries, no pots of tea/ cafeteria, just help yourself from a machine.Also, no choice of eggs cooked when having a full breakfast. But Jude, the lady at Breakfast and also on reception was absolutely lovely.

The food was ok The service was lovely We were looked after just a bit pricey for what we are used to, for two people dinning £72 when iv added it up am confused I add up to £53 for the mains and dessert. How much is 1 pint and 1 bottle of cider to make it to £72??unless there's additional chargers??

Watched as a member of staff called Yvonne shouted at a customer in front of us all sat out the back! No need for it at all!Totally unprofessional!! The poor guest was asked to leave even though it was the member of staff that was out of order!!will avoid in future

We went to the restaurant for a family meal (2 families) and our food was mistakenly given to another table. Things like this happen and I wouldn’t normally give a bad review. We had hungry children and adults and although the waitress serving us apologised and attempted to sort things out. The man who came out to talk to us doesn’t event deserve one star. The one star is given purely for his attitude, who attempted to rectify the issue by: -Offering us a round of drinks (via the waitress who made the mistake). Then refusing to just deduct their value from our bill. -Finally approaching our table, yet somehow not apologising for the issue throughout our conversation with him. -Bringing some of the food out for the kids and 2 of the adults meals. Then taking another 15 minutes to bring out the remaining meals. -Pointing out that our (now starving) children were eating the food, so there wasn’t a problem. -Actually taking the time to check how long we’d been waiting for our order (‘it’s actually only been 50 minutes’), then correcting us when we said how long it had been since we sat down (1.25hrs). That says a lot about the mentality of how he was going to deal with the situation. Amazing attitude 👍 -Saying that as there were no Managers in, he wasn’t able to deduct ANYTHING off our bill (but yet we could still have a free round of drinks 🤔). We didn’t want the drinks, we had been there long enough by this point. This could have been resolved so easily, but his attitude completely ruined our evening.

We waited 1.5 hours for our food. Some of our meals were given to the wrong table. When our meals finally arrived there were about 15 minutes between some of them being delivered meaning one person had completely finished before two people had even had sight of something to eat. Important to point out we had three children at our table of 7. We had expressed to two members of staff that this was not good and we were offered a free round of drinks however we were driving so we asked for our original drinks to be taken off the bill instead. This fair request led to a male member of staff storming over to our table to ask "what the problem was?" As well as saying "well the children have eaten their dinner so we won't be offering anything else". We'd been nothing but fair and polite so to be confronted with such unnecessary defensiveness and rudeness was unacceptable. Apparently no managers work there on the weekends either so you can't speak to anyone other than those who work there. We are pleased to leave and not return, we had been completely reasonable and did not deserve the attitude we received for a problem that we had clearly not caused.
