Avoid at all costs – absolutely disgusting! If I could give this place zero stars, I would. From the moment I stepped in, I was hit with the overwhelming stench of cigarette smoke and something even worse—like raw sewage. It was absolutely vile. We had to hold our breath every time we had to go into the hallway. The room itself was a nightmare. The sheets had actual holes in them, and the entire place felt filthy. The bathroom? Don’t even get me started. Poo marks still in the toilet, no toilet roll to be found—just pure filth. It was as if no one had cleaned the place in weeks. We asked to have the twin beds put together which wasn’t done. The worst part? The owner. Shockingly rude and completely unhelpful. When I had trouble getting into the property, I called for assistance, and instead of helping, he hung up on me. Then he had the audacity to send me a text shouting at me for even calling. I even witnessed an elderly man struggling to get inside, and the owner just ignored him completely. It was genuinely disgusting behavior. This place should be shut down. It’s dirty, smelly, and run by someone who clearly doesn’t care. Stay far, far away!

Our room was dirty and smelly. The bed was broken and had been ‘repaired’ with screws which stuck out into the bed. The curtains fell down whenever we touched them and there was brick rubble in the wardrobe. I understand that it is a budget hotel but we booked through BuyAGift and the stay was described as ‘charming’ - far from it!

It was very good value for me and comfortable for are stay. The bathroom was big and everything worked well. The Wi-Fi was excellent a good place to park our motorcycle at the side. A interesting historical building right by the Minster I would recommend.

Positives: Very clean bathroom and bedding. Comfortable bed. Large television Easy check in Was perfect for a cheap overnight stay. Negatives: Minster bells- they are LOUD!! -take earplugs 🔔 Decor was tired and dated, but for that price I didn’t expect the ritz. Overall, great value for money and would definitely stay here again.
