Avoid! Horrible experience, the managers treat their staff like junk in front of their patrons, the heater doesn’t work in their bus and the paint was peeling on the walls in our room. Due to the location they should get 125 a night during ski season and half that in the off season. This is a low grade operation.

They had no amenities, charge $10 a load of laundry, then charged me $250 after we left for a clogged toilet that we notified them of. Staff had trouble communicating, and managers routinely dodged phone calls but charged my card extra just fine. Very poorly run business and outdated lodge.

The Lodge at Big Sky was surprisingly beautiful and comfortable. It is a new construction with views overlooking the mountain. Front desk concierge person, Jacob was very nice and took care of our check in right away. We even extended our stay with another day. The Big Sky Resort is beautiful, new and resourceful.

When we drove up, we arrived at the wrong hotel. Called the Lodge from my cell but the young man at the front desk couldnt explain how to get there and needed to put someone else on the phone. If someone is working the front desk, this is information they should know. Also, with checking in and out, it was almost impossible to find a rolling luggage carrier. Both front desk people offered to help carry stuff to the lobby, but it still would have required an extra trip. The room was nice though with a great view. Quiet and clean. Breakfast options were better than other places I've stayed.

Property was clean but they only clean the rooms every 3 days. Call front desk twice for more towels on second day. Final went down and got them from pool area. All 3 out door hot tubs didn’t work properly. Breakfast was very limited and staff couldn’t keep up with the people, even though there was only like 8 people total there for breakfast.

I stayed at in 2021 The Lodge and had a fantastic experience. This time, the service was horrible. First, at check in (3 women with 5 children), we asked about getting adjoining rooms or at least rooms on the same floor. Without even attempting to look up options, the man at reception told us they were full. The parking lot was practically empty; this was an obvious lie. Later (after the second issue described below) I called him out on the lie, and he then claimed that our rooms were "different types." This is not how hotels work. We had identical rooms (on the 1st and 4th floors). Secondly, even if it were a room rate issue, he should have looked up options and given us choices, even if those choices required an additional fee. Later in the evening, we planned to use the fire pit to roast marshmallows with the kids-- we specifically chose this hotel for that amenity. When I asked him to light the fire, he said "I have no idea" threw his hands up and refused to help. I asked for at least a lighter and kindling. He looked under his desk for a second (like at the floor), and said he didn't have a lighter. I then asked if he could call a manager to find out where it is kept, and he said "they're not working." He then told me it's not his job to provide the tools for the fire. We paid a resort fee... for what? He and his friend then sat on the couch in the empty lobby while we tried and failed to start the fire using paper and the barbecue. Completely unacceptable service.

We had a difficult experience with United which delayed our trip. The Lodge at Big Sky was unbelievably non-accommodating and unfriendly. Even though we told them we would be late, they cancelled our reservation and keep the full amount with not refund. It was a bad experience all around. Go somewhere else!

Great property. Excellent staff, clean, free breakfast. They charge $12 a day for parking on top of a resort fee which is a little crazy, but whatever. Other than that, it was very nice. The only issues are; it is slightly dated, and they could use some small maintenance items like painting wall scuffs and things like that.

We were later arriving at the hotel and it took three rooms to get the room we actually reserved. Then we were told for the inconvenience we were given an upgrade. We didn't. We were given the room we had actually reserved.
