Disappointing Stay – Poor Maintenance & Service
We were first given a room where the TV speakers didn’t work. Only after speaking directly with the manager was I offered a room change, which should have been addressed more promptly by the staff.The property is in serious need of renovation. The room flooring near the toilet was warped, which gave the room a neglected and unhygienic feel. On top of that, the hot water shower was not actually hot — only lukewarm, which made for an uncomfortable experience. Also, there was a strong unpleasant odour from the carpet at the lift landing.
The one positive was the maintenance staff. Maxim, in particular, was more sympathetic and helpful than the front desk. He was the one who offered to bring us a new key card for the replacement room, which I appreciated.
Overall, a disappointing stay – the hotel urgently needs to improve both its facilities and service responsiveness.
