Had a sea view room - comfy bed, light with big windows, cosy and warm. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Ate in the restaurant several times - great service and food there too, dishes beautifully prepared and presented.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was lovely; interiors are low key but stylish. Excellent tea and fresh coffee available in the room with fresh milk available. Perfect location for the town and beach. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed in the hotel mid week - highly recommended. Clean rooms, tastefully decorated, friendly and helpful staff and interesting menu with some unusual dishes. The hotel has fairly recently opened so is new and fresh. Great location within old town.

The receptionist was very helpful when I checked in. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are well decorated and comfortable.The cookies were a great idea!

Highly recommended. We booked a room with a 'superior sea view' and it was worth it. But the whole hotel has a superior feeling - excellent decor and furnishings, comfy bed, great views (including rooftop terrace), first class service, superb location. Nothing we experienced could have been improved, it was so good!

We stayed one night in this slightly quicky and quietly stylish boutique hotel. It was a very comfortable stay with welcoming staff and we were very happy with our room. I like the art displayed too. We very much enjoyed our meal in their restaurant. Didnt like the coffee though and thought breakfast was a bit limited. The hotel is in a great position for a visit to the Turner Contempary, the old town and a walk along the beach - in other words, a great location!

While the photos and description of this special hotel are accurate, I couldn't have anticipated the feeling I had during my stay. Totally relaxing and quite heavenly. I arrived flustered and tired. I was greeted so warmly and taken to a gorgeous room. Delicious scented toiletries in generous glass bottles, a bed like a cloud and beautiful window linen etc. Dinner was unexpectedly perfect too.

Great little hotel in a fantastic position opposite theTurner Gallery and the beach - and on the tip of the Old Town with it's quirky shops and bars. We had great views from room 14 looking out towards the sea. The restaurant has a great tapas menu - well worth staying for dinner. Staff are very friendly and the beds really comfy!

It is fair to say I’m quite particular when I stay at a hotel and I don’t recall a time when I stayed somewhere which ticked every box. However, the Fort Road Hotel has done just that. I loved the thought that went into the design of the room; the open storage, the hooks by the shower (something every hotel seems to forget about!) and the plants which made it feel homely. The decor is minimal but the rooms still feel warm and welcoming. Other small touches like fresh milk and cookies when we arrived (which were beautiful by the way). Watching the sun setting on the roof terrace was something I won’t forget anytime soon. Finally, the breakfast was top notch. Incredible value for the price we paid for it and everything was delicious. I am already planning my next visit to Margate to stay at the hotel again.
