To hotel staff, very nice and kind very helpful too. Location very convenient and quiet! Hotel hygiene is good ! Highly recommend !

Comfortable bed Plentiful on the continental breakfast Clean rooms Very welcoming and accommodating hosts. Not advisable for guests with mobility issues Windows need an outside clean Property is undergoing a refurbishment so the bar is unavailable but you can use the property next door for this. Tram stop directly opposite the hotel as it is in the South Shore area. Excellent sea view rooms and lovely and tranquil.

Perfect sea view room staff were really helpful, tram stop over the road which is ideal, close to pleasure beach and south pier also easily accessible by train if you use Blackpool pleasure beach stop only a 5 minute walk from there. Continental breakfast with the option of a cooked breakfast for extra cost.

We have just arrived back from a lovely stay, we had 3 rooms in total the staff were amazing and so helpful rooms are all really clean, Tram stop just over the road, continental breakfast with the option of a full English at extra charge, we will definitely be back ☺️

Immaculately clean and tidy ..bed really comfy great sea view room...shower nice and hot ... breakfast was free continental and £6 for full cooked and it was delicious 😋... lovely friendly staff definitely stay here again with friends and family

The hotel was spotlessly clean. The proprietors were extremly welcoming, friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was served very hot and they kept asking if we required more toast. Although this hotel us not licensed, they told us that the adjoining hotel said that residents could use their bar and take it back to Ocean Bay. We took our grandson and he loved it especially playing the air hockey game and the sea view. We will be staying there again and highly recommend this hotel. It is ideally situated for those who like the fun of the fair as it is only a few mins walk from the pleasure beach. Thank you to the hosts for a lovely stay.

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay here at The Ocean Bay Hotel located on the promenade nearer South Shore within walking distance to the Pleasure Beach and Sandcastle Waterpark. Our double room was clean and comfortable with a sea view. Breakfast amenities were ample as was free parking out front. The hosts were very hospitable and friendly. I would highly recommend this location if your looking for a family friendly hotel located in a quieter location of town.

Great location, perfect for the tram. Far enough from the main attractions for it to be lovely and quiet. Great sea views and run by a lovely family. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Most importantly a great cooked breakfast! Will be recommending to friends and family.

the rooms are nice comfy and clean , it has everything we needed ,comfy double bed clean sheets , tv, and a hair dryer .we would have liked softer pillows but that’s a personal opinion the bathroom could do with some TLC but they told us they are in the process of doing this in the rooms breakfast was nice it was continental unlike other breakfasts in blackpool but had plenty choice so no one should go hungry the staff were lovely and friendly and nothing seemed to much bother for them

Booked last minute and was so glad we did. Room was very clean and fresh Bed was comfy had option of a continental breakfast. Hot shower as well. The owner was so welcoming will deffo be back again tram stop accross from hotel so that was a bonus so could go where wanted

Comfortable bed, gorgeous headboard, lovely view. Unfortunately that is where the good stuff ends. Pokey room, grotty bathroom, grubby walls. Back of the TV was thick with dust which was over the tea tray when in position to watch. Very unhygienic. The shower drain cover was absent "due to covid"(!). So why did my daughter's room have one? This could easily have resulted in an injury. Neither the dining room nor the bar were open, which were not disclosed until we arrived. The kitchen had been out of action for weeks although the option of breakfast was listed on our booking confirmation, sent AFTER the kitchen was closed. One of the reasons we booked this hotel was to sit with a relaxing drink and overlook the beach/lights. No housekeeping whatsoever, had to go to reception to replenish the teatray. This again was "due to covid" although some of our personal items had been disturbed so obviously someone had been in the room. Apparently they only do any housekeeping between guests! Thank goodness we were only there for 3 days.

The hotel,the room was spotlessly clean and the room was gorgeous with a spectacular sea view, staff were amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we was okay, price was great and very much worth it. Even though it’s just further down from the pleasure beach it was peaceful and quiet.. they were absolutely amazing and with my 4 year old granddaughter they couldn’t do enough for her especially at breakfast time

Stayed at this establishment several times over the last few years on a mini break with our grandchildren to visit the attractions of Blackpool. On arrival we discovered that the previous proprietors (Sue and Jim) had moved on and now we have Ally and Allie. We were greeted and welcomed by the new owners, who were very friendly who even carried the children's cases upstairs for us. Our room was comfortable and clean and was adequate for our needs for a few days (3). However, I would like to offer some friendly non-critical advice that may be of benefit in the future. 1. Breakfast: I would expect that majority of hotel guests that stay would like an option of breakfast during their stay, which the previous proprietors provided and to a very high standard. Also, a breakfast that caters for everyone's dietary needs and preferences, without going into too much detail and I completely respect and understand your reasons for not serving certain food. When I enquired about ordering breakfast, I was informed that only vegetarian sausage would be served, and no alternative i.e. bacon/sausage would not be served and unfortunately the chef was off sick, I'm not sure if this would have made a difference. However, you do state in your house rules that guests are allowed to consume takeaways in the dining room. 2. Bar area, this is now off limits and is home to your lovely dog. I think most guests whether travelling with children or not would appreciate an area to chill and relax at the end of the day or just catch up and have a chat with other guests or watch some TV as an alternative to sitting in their room on the bed. Also, most people with families don't want to stay out too late and have the option to return back to the hotel and have a Tea/Coffee/soft drinks and snacks available and maybe an alcoholic beverage for the grownups in the lounge / bar area and feel comfortable in the surroundings, and have an option of a separate area to do it. 3. Towels, although I had to request towels as there were none in the room, and was told on the last day to ask if we needed anymore just ask, we did manage, I do usually pack my own but on this occasion I forgot. I also think the little bottles of toiletries are a genuinely nice touch. I do think your towels need upgrading, one had holes in it, and they do look quite tired and worn. 4. The cost of the stay was more than previous years, which I completely understand the reasons for with the general inflation, but we didn't want room only we wanted the extra facilities such as breakfast and the option of the bar area. Our loyalty chose Ocean Bay Hotel and after researching since my return home I have discovered for the same price or less we would have had all the options and amenities we required, (breakfast / lounge bar / children's entertainment). In other establishments. I feel that it would be better to forewarn guests of the changes made so that they can make up their own mind and choose accommodation

Stayed overnight to see the illuminations and firework display. Overall this was a lovely stay. The couple (Allie & Allie - sorry if mispelt) were lovely and very welcoming on arrival. The owners even let us in half an hour before check-in as it was raining outside and we were all tired. The place is currently being refurbished and the bathrooms updated but all three rooms were decorated well and were very clean anyway. There are coffee, tea and biscuits on offer in the room and the bed was really comfortable. We had a lovely nights sleep even better than higher starred hotels we've stayed in. The location is ideal as it's so close to the Pleasure Beach theme park, beach and South pier. The trams are only a short walk away. There is a pool table that my husband and son played on. The only drawback was that the bar was not open, as the owners were using it as an area for their Alsatian puppy. It would've been nice to have a drink after the fireworks plus the hotel is missing a trick there. Not sure if there is breakfast on offer as we never saw the dining room being used. Overall a lovely, comfy stay which was fanatastic value for money. Would definitely stay again. Thank-you Ocean Bay!
