Best hotel I’ve stayed at in a very long time. Such a nice and welcoming a**osphere with the best staff! The owner family was very friendly and helpful and their staff were amazing! Rooms are clean, food is delicious and they know how to make it your home away from home!

To say this hotel is a gem in the mountains is an understatement; it truly is a magical place. Not only is the design impeccable; with some of the most beautiful spaces I have ever seen in the Alps, but the hospitality from the family-run team is exceptional and the restaurant and bar teams make you feel like a local from the moment you step into the hotel. With easy-to-store ski rooms, a wellness area, great lounge bar and half-board options; you only need to leave to get to the lifts (if you want to!) - which are all in the easiest of walking distances. Otherwise, the team are on hand to recommend the best that Lech has to offer. We would return in a heartbeat.

Schwarzwand is a beautiful family boutique style hotel with beautiful renovated rooms. The hotel is located in the city center, close to the skilift, shops and bars. The hotel is serving a breakfast buffet with a large variety in (veg) options and in the evening a four course dinner in the dining room area. We were impressed by the cosy lounge area with a fireplace and bar where you could order anything you would like. Also the personal approach and an eye for each detail made our stay one of a kind. Definitely a place you should visit! We are coming back!

So friendly and helpful. The rooms were a delight, and the staff super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great in the morning - sets you up for skiing! The only thing I would recommend would be adding coffee facilities in the room.

Feb 1, 2022.. Just returned from 5 night stay at this hotel. My room was very updated and spotless. Comfortable Bed and furnishings. Location is quite near the center of Lech. 5 minute walk (downhill) to ski tram at Rufiplatz. Two generations of the family run the hotel and are full of advice, information, big smiles. Always asking if they can help with anything. The ski storage area in lower level is great. Ski and board racks over drains so the floor isn't always wet. Warming boot rack. Padded benches to put boots on and off. Stairway directly outside. Elevator accessible. The reason I gave only 4 stars is the restaurant. Food was very good. Good breakfast buffet of meats, cheeses, breads, cereal, yogurts, and eggs cooked to order. Dinner is a set menu. 5 courses with one entree and one alternate entree. Dinner was excellent, but you don't really have options for what to order from a traditional menu. If someone in your party is a selective (picky) eater, it may not be the best option. There are several restaurants in close proximity, however you may need a reservation to get a table. The location of this hotel for skiers is easily better than 50% of the hotels in Lech.
