Title: Disappointing Stay at Bassanova - Needs Major Improvements Rating: ★★☆☆☆ (2/5) I recently stayed at Bassanova, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. Here’s why: 1. Defective Air Conditioning: The air conditioning in Room 12 was broken. Despite raising the issue with the front desk, no apologies were offered. Their only solution was to give me a fan, which didn’t help much with the heat. 2. Pool with Strong Chlorine: The pool had such a high chlorine level that when I showered, even my soap struggled to lather. This was quite off-putting. 3. No Late Checkout Flexibility: I booked a hotel-organized island tour that finished around 12nn on a Tuesday, which was a low-occupancy day. I requested a complimentary late checkout until 1 pm, but the hotel showed no leniency, despite it being the off-peak season. 4. Poor F&B Service: The food service was frustratingly slow, with no immediate water service. Worse, the food orders arrived at different times, despite being placed together. 5. Subpar Breakfast: The breakfast options were the worst I’ve encountered—either a plated hotdog and egg or a ham sandwich. This lack of variety was disappointing. 6. Room Maintenance Issues: Room 14 was not well-maintained. There were stained bathroom shower handles, poorly touched-up flooring and toilet bowl, and the bedroom ceiling manhole was nearly collapsing. The only good point was the strong Wi-Fi, but overall, Bassanova has a lot of room for improvement. I wouldn’t recommend it unless they address these issues. It was all aesthetics and poorly managed and maintained.

We loved our stay at Bassa Nova Villa hotel! I traveled to Bohol with my aunt. The property is just around 15 mins away from Bohol-Panglao Airport, very convenient! We like the interiors, very aesthetic and minimalist and is very Bali-inspired. Suggestions: ✅It could be better if you can add more breakfast options such as tocino, tapa, longganisa, etc. ✅There’s no available TV on the room, but it’s fine because there’s FREE Wi-Fi ✅It could be better if they have a better water system because the water pressure is quite low so taking a bath/showers are taking quite a while Overall, we give ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5. Still had a great experience. Thank you so much, and looking forward to our next visit here! ☺️💚💛🤎

DISHONEST management. Careful with the room they check you in. I booked for FAMILY room (2 x double beds) but they assigned us to COUPLE room (1 x double bed) on the first night, according to staff it’s reflected COUPLE room on their system but obviously on Trip.com its FAMILY. Asked to be moved to the correct room upon checking my booking 5$3 next day, the manager decided to SCAM us into a TWIN room (2 x single beds). Started to notice why were actual families coming out of another block but not ours and our “double bed” felt small and only has one pillow each. Checked the rooms type on Trip.com to realise that we have been SCAMMED into TWIN room instead of the FAMILY room I booked and paid for. Manager refused to give refunds on the price difference, and did not want to send a proper apology email to state her mistake. VERY DISAPPOINTED by the DISHONESTY especially because they knew that FAMILY room were unavailable yet changed us to a TWIN room instead of taking other damage recovery measures for their own mistake. Make us look stupid for believing the room change but it was a disgusting plan of their to cover their own wrongdoings. Transferred rooms THREE times in 4 nights and only get what I paid for (FAMILY room) in last 2 nights. DOUBLE CHECK YOUR BOOKING AT CHECK IN! Water pressure is indeed low and unstable. Blankets are extremely thin so if you are afraid of cold (aircons are great btw) then I suggest you bring thick pyjamas or ask for another blanket to layer the blankets. Otherwise the staff members are all super nice and friendly, great location as it’s in between popular restaurants and activities points. Food at the restaurant is nice too. Would have given it a stunning review but NOPE because of the DISHONESTY.

새벽에 도착해서 4~5시간 잠만자려고 1박 예약했습니다. 미리 새벽도착이라고 요청사항도 적었는데 예약내용 확인이 되지 않고 입구 직원은 의사소통도 어려운데 관리자와 통화도 되지 않아서 한 참 서 있었네요ㅠ 한 참 얘기하다가 방법이 없어서 아무 빈방이라도 달라고 해서 일단 하나 남았다는 방으로 들어갔습니다. 방 준비가 덜 된 건지 화장실에 화장지도 없고ㅠ 시간도 늦어서 1~2시간만 잠시 누워있다가 피곤한 상태로 아침 일찍 투어일정으로 체크아웃했네요ㅠ 아침에 출근한 직원이 시스템 오류였는지 아직도 확인되지 않지만 미안하다는 얘기를 듣고 퇴실했습니다.

it was worst the sanitation was awful bug in the room low water pressure no hot water air conditioner doesn’t work and swimming pool water is dirty i stayed 4day changed room 3times but every room was same and no facilities around village tuktuk 200 everytime going to alona beach please dont make reservations
