Overall our stay was good. There was no food left the first morning and we went down at 9am. Certain areas needed a little TLC but overall the hitel was decent and I would stay again.

The shower heads were old & needed to be replaced. Water came out of all different places, spraying everywhere. Also, the ironing board had no padding. It was very difficult to iron the clothes we needed pressed.

This is a nice place, tucked up against the southern edge of campus. A down side of the location is that there aren't any other businesses other than a gas station and a mediocre sports bar and grill anywhere near the hotel. An upside is that there are two huge parks just south of the hotel and a huge college campus north of it.

Never was able to get anyone to answer the phone at the hotel to make reservations. Made them online in order to guarantee a room since we were there for a Pageant.
Checked in told the front desk my issue in order to get the price quoted by the pageant. NOT accommodating at all.

Parking was in the back, which was unexpected and more difficult unloading with kids. Room was fine, good TV and okay beds. Bathroom had some wear and tear and the sink didn't drain properly. The pool was okay. They were filling it up with cold hose water while we were trying to swim, so that was not great. Overall okay, but not what we expected for the price.

I can not brag enough about Paul & the man (sorry, I didn’t get his name) who provided us the wheel chair. Paul went above & beyond to get us what we needed & the guy that got the wheel chair made sure it was cleaned & even sanitized it before we used it.. We have to go back to Columbia next week & I will be sure to call this Hampton Inn for a reservation. Great job guys!!!!
