Wonderful stay - the hotel is clean and well appointed. The best thing about this property is the people. Everyone at this hotel cares about the customers and goes out of his/her to ensure a pleasant stay. The hotel is conveniently located along Blowing Rock Hwy.

This hotel is Very outdated, old and dirty. I thought because it was a Amari off there would be higher standards. Don’t be fooled by the remodeled front and lobby, or the photos! the rooms smell the hallways smell and the whole place needs to be re-done.

All I can say is there is a reason this hotel has "mixed" reviews and low fare. Not the best stay at all. Microwave wasn't cleaned out and there were bugs in our room. Thins walls you can hear people stomping at all hours. Do not recommend.

I travel a lot and this was by far the worst hotel experience I've had. Trust me, book somewhere else. Problems were endless. Rude management and staff. Listen to the other reviews. Comfort Inn next to Troys Diner is great!

Listen to the reviews. We booked here to try to save money and you get what you pay for. Spider on curtains upon walking in. OK, I’m used to bugs where I come from so nbd. Microwave not cleaned out. Leftover food. Yuck. Ice maker on the 2nd floor doesn’t work. Tiny pool. Someone in my family fell due to negligence of hotel maintenance upkeep landing her in the ER with a fractured foot. Incompetent management. Walls and floors are thin. We got a complaint for “noise” for simply walking around our room. Ludicrous. We also heard people above us. How is this place still operational? Never again.

Bare bones hotel. Not a suite hotel. Room did not even have enough room for a chair. Beds uncomfortable. Room worn. Bathroom scuffed up with red scratches in the tub. Small useless gym and pool to get rating. Beaten up wood frame hotel. Avoid.

Comfortable and clean hotel! Friendly staff! Stay here! Nice amenities here. This Fairfield is conveniently located near all Boone and Blowing Rock attractions. Makotos, Applebees and ABC within walking distance. Walmart is just down the road.

This hotel was undergoing some extensive outdoor maintenance and repairs so half of the front carpark could not be used. When we checked in - we were asked if a 1st floor room would be OK as there were no other rooms available. Reluctantly I agreed - despite this being contrary to my Marriott preferences. When we walked into the room it was an absolute shambles with rubbish strewn all over the floor bed linen on the floor, food containers everywhere and drink bottles and cans all over the place. The room literally stunk. We went back to reception and politely asked if they were joking and told them about the room. They were almost not believing me and after checking the room came back and said that it looks like the cleaning staff had not reported the room as requiring additional cleaning. They then offered me us a room on the second floor (room 206) which made me wonder why I was not offered this room in the first place. The room itself was tidy and clean, and beds very comfortable. The staff were very good in the end, and friendly once we had settled in. This hotel is close to a few restaurants easily within walking distance. If you want to use the outdoor tables in the rear of the premises - it is not very private - but suitable for a few pre-dinner drinks. Once the outdoor renovation work is finished it should be a nice presentable establishment.

I travel a lot and this had to be one of the filthiest hotels I've ever stayed in! The first room we were given, hadn't had the bathroom cleaned in a while - filthy toilet and floor. Same for the refrigerator- covered in stains and old food! We asked for a second room. While better, we cleaned the toilet before using, floor hadn't been vacuumed and had food all over. Dirty, used towels in bath, ice bucket hadn't been dumped, bathroom floor was dirty and nothing had been restocked. Front desk's response was that they didn't clean rooms. The manager was supposed to call me but never did. They didn't care. Therefore they get the worst review I have ever given. This hotel was $200 a night and I have stayed in far better hotels for half the price. Don't stay here!

The hotel is worn down. In my room, the toilet did not flush properly and trim on the wall was falling off. The TV remote did not work properly. There was no clock in the room. I found a pair of boxer shorts under the desk from the last visitor. The young man at the desk the morning I left looked very suspect, and his shirt looked like he had thrown up on it.

Stay Report - 1/19 to 1/20 Location: The hotel is located on US 321 about 10 minutes southeast of Downtown Boone and Appalachian State University.  It's in an area with a bunch of other hotels, box stores, chain restaurants etc.  In fact, there's a Chik-Fil-A on the other side of the hotel parking lot.  Hotel: The hotel is typical of newer Fairfield Inns in that it's actually really nice.  There's a large free parking lot, small indoor pool, big breakfast area, small sundry store and a small fitness center.  Because it's a newer hotel the common areas are all well lit and in good repair.   Check In: I had been upgraded in advance to a suite and the agent who checked me in was really friendly and helpful.  I also got a little goodie bag with bottled water and snacks.  Just what one needs at 10 PM Room: The room was very nice.  I like the layout of these newer FI suites.  There was a separate living room area with a large couch, TV and a desk plus a bedroom with its own TV and a large bathroom.  My only complaint is the Wifi was spotty.  Breakfast: Unlike many other FIs the hotel hasn't gone to just to go breakfast.  They had scrambled eggs, bacon, waffle makers, pastries, bagels, fruit and yogurt.  This is a really good hotel, I'll definitely stay here again when I'm in Boone. 

Stayed one night checked in late no other choice for night and usually a good sport, but the bathroom was filthy and would not recommend, stay away. Even furniture was stained, shower curtain too short so water all over place, window had broken lock even though accessible from outside open all night, view of outside wall shows management painted only dirty side of wall in view. Just bad stay.

I am a loyal Hilton Diamond member, but decided I need to expand my hotel chain options because Hiton does not always have a presence in the cities/countries I visit, or the price might be very high because they are booked up. Normally stay at the Hampton Inn in Boone (small town) when we go visit our daughter, but this time booked Fairfield for 2 nights to try Marriott for my husband. The room was is awful disrepair. Shower was dirty, cracked and stained. Shower curtain rod missing screws and falling down. Front desk said "sorry, no maintenance on Saturdays". Lady working breakfast told a man working there to keep an eye on breakfast because she had to go across the street for cigarettes before she yelled at someone. Needless to say we will not be back. I fully understand that hotels/restaurants/stores are understaffed right now, and feel for them, but that is no excuse for this situation. I will be sticking with Hilton - I tried.
