王冠酒店(The Crown Hotel, Boroughbridge, North Yorkshire)

The Crown Hotel would be the best place to stopover when travelling on the A1. Boroughbridge is a lovely small town. The hotel on a Sunday evening was surprisingly busy which was nice to see. It benefits from having a cosy feel with a mix of bar, coffee & cocktail lounge, and other seating dotted around. The staff were all excellent, chatty and added to the relaxed feel of the place. Food was very good on Sunday evening and Monday breakfast. The Monday morning vibe was also great to see, with many locals using the coffee lounge for a catch up. The secure car park was a welcome addition, as well as the small pool and spa.

Well where do I start with the Crown 🥰 living overseas it’s always good to come back and find somewhere that’s comfortable relaxing with amazing staff. I came back in March to the Crown and stayed for a week and didn’t want to leave incredible staff lovely rooms the list goes one. So when we flew back again this time I knew the crown was the place to stay this time for over five weeks it’s would of been a lot longer but due to my daughter going into hospital we sadly had to leave early. But all I can say is we will most definitely be back. Every member of staff couldn’t do enough for us always with a smile and above and beyond. Every single member of staff at the crown deserves so much recognition even when busy they still do all they can, from House keeping to the bar the restaurant the leisure staff reception and so much more. Rachel Becky Jamie always with a smile, The girls who always made sure Mabel had her Apple juice we honestly can’t Thankyou all enough and we were truly sad to leave. Beautiful rooms lovely reception area and coffee bar lounge to sit lovely outside space. We will be back again soon and can’t wait to stay with you again. Thankyou for everything Sara and Mabel xx

The Crown Hotel was excellent, the rooms were boutique and the breakfast was really good, staff very attentive at breakfast nothing too much trouble, the bar staff were friendly and chatty, made you feel really welcome, would definitely stay here again, the owners should be very proud to have the staff they have working for them, throughout the hotel

Mixed feelings on return visit. Hotel decor not to our taste. Leisure facilities were good. Wi-Fi did not work in our room but ok in public areas. Breakfast first morning - good service and great food. Second morning terrible service despite allocated time slot and food quality was poor. General maintenance of building needs improving (see photos). Staff mainly friendly. However we won’t be returning

Simply fantastic. From checking in to out the whole experience was perfect. We stayed for one night in a ‘superior’ room. It was very big with a super king bed. The decor is very tasteful and seems to have been recently done, all very clean. If I was being hyper critical the bathroom is a little tired but perfectly functional. The spa is a real bonus, it’s not massive but is really lovely. We didn’t have dinner but the breakfast (included in price) was excellent. The bar and reception rooms are furnished with some very very nice sofas and chairs, all the areas are bright and airy. Vfm wise we were extremely happy. Can’t praise the crown highly enough. If you aren’t impressed I would be amazed, what’s not to like. Borough bridge itself is also lovely, has some excellent bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. Thanks the crown see you soon.

There's only 1 word I can say about my visit here....WOW...the staff were super friendly, efficient, happy...afternoon tea was delicious and our afternoon in the leisure centre fantastically refreshing and relaxing...Thankyou Jack leisure centre and Ciara restaurant you really made our afternoon special.

Great Hotel. Fantastic value for money. The rooms are fabulous, and have everything you need, including a nespresso machine, playing cards, and a selection of books. Fantastic breakfast, good quality ingredients. Then theres the pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi etc. Reception staff are friendly, and helpful. The cleaning staff are fantastic too. Restaurant is probably the dearest place to eat, and they add a 10 per cent service charge to your final bill too. I wasnt too pleased about that as I didnt really want to leave a tip, the service off the young guy in there wasnt good at all, although the staff that were on at breakfast time were superb. Maybe we caught him on a bad day 🤷. Will certainly be staying here again though.

Stayed a couple of nights as an Easter break. Good food and wide menu in the evening plus an excellent breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff, local beers reasonably priced. Had a great room. Located in a good area for sightseeing with free parking. Highly recommended
