I arrived at 4:15 for a 5pm wedding. my room wasn't ready because elite marriott members get a late checkout. So I was given a temporary room to get ready for the wedding. When I checked back at the front desk for a key to my room after the wedding ceremony I was told the temporary room was my permanent room which didn't have enough beds for my husband and kids. I insisted. they then said I could have my regular room but it wasn't yet ready. So I came back again later and they gave me a key to my new room. When I walked to my room they had moved our luggage (good) but there was a bag of linens and another bag of trash in the hallway outside of my room. When I checked out the next day the trash and linens were still there.
I let Marriott know this was unacceptable for a $540 room before taxes. I did hear back from someone who said they were sorry and would try to do better next time. Honestly they should have given me a certificate for a free night at the hotel. It was not a good experience, though a great location.
