Great location and friendly staff. Good value for money and the restaurant is one of the best with a bottle shop attached.

Good service

The room was nice but does look a bit tired, the bed was comfy, staff were pleasant unfortunately the dining experience was very sub par. The bistro was very basic, I have seen better tables in a servo, I was really shocked that there were no menus, we were expected to use our mobile phone to order, this was an issue as we did not have one, we were directed to a menu at the entrance to pick and told to order at the counter, OK, until I went to order at the counter to be told by a different member of staff that I had to order on line if I wanted to pay by card, I explained that I couldn’t do this to then be told I had to go to a different till to order in this case despite there being a card machine attached to the till in front of me, I went to the sports bar and ordered. The popcorn pork belly starter was nice but was not very popcorn like, expected it to be crunchy, the mains were steak and half a rack of pork ribs, the steak was nicely cooked, the pork ribs were however very disappointing, the half a rack of ribs was very small, in my opinion closer to one eight of a rack, not what was expected at all. The jacket potato with the ribs was luke warm and the sour cream dressing being cold did not help. Over all a disappointing experience, will not be returning any time soon.

Was really looking forward to a meal out after being on the road for three weeks. Location was really great but then things went downhill. Took three open bottles to find enough to make one full glass of wine. Then went through to the Bistro, being an ALH owned site wAs expecting at least some standard of consistency. Ordered the Korean Chicken as an entree which was okay, however then cam the steaks, mine rare and partners medium rare. Both were cold on the inside. We all know that meat should be left to attain room temperature before being cooked, well this just wasn’t the case. When asked by the waitress how our meals were, was hesitant to say anything but when pressed, made the comment about cold steaks. We decided to order desserts anyway, and okay these were provided complimentary, thank you. Also as a side note the male toilets were unclean, and untidy, no hand towel, and smelled as though not cleaned properly that day. We travel ten months of the year and really only leave a bad review when more than one or two aspects grab our attention.

Pub run down no atmosphere and food very average. Staff polite and friendly. Food and drinks expensive for a pub. Garlic bread and salt and pepper calamari undercooked. Lobster risotto poor seasoning and bland. Beef Pie was good though. Close to caravan park next door

Water doesn’t drain away after the rain. Bathrooms are about 20 years late for a renovation

DID NOT LIKE LOOKING INTO YOUR ROOM WHILE THEY SIT AND SMOKE SHOULD HAVE PROPER SMOKING PLACE AWAY FROM OTHER PEOPLES DOOR

Only stayed 1 night but have before- great rates / clean and tidy - easy parking- excellent- ground floor 👍

Room was ok for an overnight stay with comfortable beds. Basic pub menu offered with very high prices for the meal quality. Staff were friendly and polite.
