Perfect place to stay and close to the lake. Pristine guesthouse. Very comfortable and extremely clean room. Excellent staff Rita was a dream. Great breakfast. Would definitely go back and recommend it highly. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay in room 2

Catherine is a great host making sure you have the best time. Lovely breakfast all made to my liking. We had the only room without ensuite but that didn't make our stay any less comfortable, the private shower room was near by. Short walk to shops, coffee shops and pubs. We liked it so much that we booked again for next December.

Lovely place to stay. Warm and spotlessly clean with extra little touches in the room. Owner friendly and welcoming- would definitely stay again if visiting the area. Ideal location with easy walking distance to restaurants and lake edge where we took the boat to Ambleside.

3 night stay 28/10 to 30/10 as a couple. Warm and friendly family run hotel. Great hosts, clean rooms, excellent breakfast with plenty of choice and in a perfect location between Windermere and Bowness. Will definitely stay here again 😊😊

Very clean and tidy rooms. Catherine and her family couldn’t do enough for us to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. The breakfast was excellent every morning with a great selection. We will definitely be going back. Bowness was just a short walk to the centre. Loverly food at the Berisford pub.

FABULOUS- stayed for 4 nights, breakfast-quality and service excellent- Catherine the host was a dream, nothing too much trouble, very accommodating -beds really comfy, room spotless, parking available, close to Windermere easy access to all roads, definitely would stay again and again, took home some lovely memories

So happy we found this little gem .absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean , can’t fault it , staff were amazing so friendly and always ready to help , The host Catherine was so attentive and looked after us at all times . Breakfast was exceptional so much choice. Rooms were very comfortable and again spotlessly clean , can’t fault it , so looking forward to going back . Well done and thank you .

We have just returned back from a three night stay along with a friend at Beechwood to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday. We could not have asked for better. The place is absolutely lovely, beautifully clean and with the most comfiest bed. Catherine the owner, goes out of her way to help and accommodate her guest and she let us put a bottle of fizz in her own fridge. Her breakfasts are delicious and plentiful and the location could not be better. This has been our second stay at Beechwood and it will certainly not be our last! It was our friends first visit, and it says it all when he said that he didn't want to go home. We would highly recommend giving Catherine a visit.

We have just come back from staying here. Hotel is lovely, clean and the breakfast was beautiful. Nothing was too much trouble and we also put some food to take home in their fridge which was great. Not far to walk to the lake either which was good. Will def be back if they will have us 😀
