Excellent accueil. Site magnifique. Hotel bien entretenu et beaucoup de charme. La chambre 7 ( en surclassement proposé ) est une pure merveille. Le petit déjeuner est raffiné. Un très bel établissement. A noter le restaurant Michelin qui offre de très beaux menus

Superbe emplacement en bord du canal de la Dronne Chambre correcte avec éléments de confort ( coffre, min bar etc ….) Terrasse du restaurant sympathique Menu du dîner en 3 services bien sans être exceptionnel pour un étoilé Petit déjeuner assez cossu

Très bel endroit, accueil chaleureux. Literie confortable, petites attentions touchantes. Petit-déjeuner excellent . Vraiment parfait

Excellent hôtel dans un cadre idyllique. On a particulièrement apprécié l'accueil chaleureux , , la gentillesse du personnel de service. Le petit déjeuner au bord de la rivière est un moment de bonheur.

We booked a one-night stay at this hotel. The location of the property seemed ideal as it was located in town. We had booked a room with large terrace with a jacuzzi. Upon check-in, the front desk staff was very friendly. The room was small and the bedding was plain and sad, but we were excited to relax in the jacuzzi. They told us it would take about an hour for the jacuzzi to warm up. In the meantime, we relaxed in the room. I immediately noticed a couple of bugs. The front desk staff came up and she ultimately found and removed 5 bugs. After she left, I found another. I suspect someone left a window open. We decided to take a walk around town. When we came back to the room, the temperature of the jacuzzi had not changed at all. It was clearly broken but the hotel staff was just too embarrassed to tell us. Then, I saw another bug (See picture). We decided to cut our losses and check out. Obviously, we were not charged for the night. I am glad we left because we found an AMAZING property outside of town (Le Moulin du Roc).

Cannot believe this is a Relais & Chateau hotel. In prestige room and yes it has a great view and jacuzzi but the room also looks like 1950s Day’s Inn. Lumpy, scratchy duvet and no top sheet, no headboard just painted. Not one thing hanging on walls. Depressing. Shower and sink in same tiny room as bed. Furnishings look like patio furniture. Public area barren. Stayed 2 nights, restaurant not open either day, no way to have a drink. No turn down and of course no room service. Had dinner at nearby Moulin du Roc & looked at rooms there ....cheaper and MUCH nicer. When a hotel stresses its policies on early departure fees as this one does, that tells you something....

J’ai voulu réserver une chambre fin octobre dans cet établissement relais et châteaux. Nous décidons de nous offrir une chambre à 380 euros sans les petits déjeuners, sachant bien entendu que nous nous faisions une joie de dîner le soir dans l’établissement.bref la facture globale aurait tourner autour de 700 euros pour une nuit. La personne a l’accueil me dit qu’i, y aura un supplément de 5 euros pour le parking. Quelle mesquinerie, quelle politique commerciale minable sachant que je suis membre du club relais et châteaux depuis 20 ans. En geste commercial la personne au bout de la ligne devant mon indignation m’indique qu’elle m’offrira le parking en raison de mon appartenance au club. Je trouve cette attitude honteuse. Je sais pertinemment que cela ne représente pas l’accueil en règle général fourni par les relais châteaux. Voilà un établissement que je vais rayer de ma liste, et j’ai déjà fait savoir à mes amis autour de moi la mesquinerie de cet maison.

I had booked a upgraded river view room, I wasn't told when checking in that this room wasn't available and instead was just given a basic and frankly depressing room with no view. I explained to the reception that I wasn't happy and they said a river view room wasn't available in the hotel. No difference in price was offered and to be frank the staff were extremely rude. We were celebrating our engagement and this was the last two days of our holiday so I said I didn't want to check in and I wasn't to be charged as what I booked wasn't available. The receptionist and Manager agreed and we left however I was still charged. I have emailed twice, its been 2 weeks and still no reply. Shocking service and a very basic hotel, pictures do not display the room we were offered and it certainly wasn't worth the price. I also went on to say that I had actually booked an checked into a sister hotel for the coming two nights so the fact they still havent replied and charged me is shocking!

C'était une belle MAISON ..... Trop de changemant pour nous ,la déco et surtout la cuisine trop simpliste ne nous convient plus ....... je pense a un changement de Direction et de Chef surtout .... Plus d'intérêt pour nous ,Merci a toute c'est belle année.

Nous réservons une table pour le déjeuner or nous n’avons pas pu déjeuner car la réservation a été enregistrée au lendemain midi. Aucune solution proposée pour nous satisfaire. Comment un établissement de ce niveau peut il agir de la sorte ! Il est clair que lors d’un prochain passage nous ne fréquenterons pas cet établissement.

The hotel has a nice view of the river; however, it is an impersonal place. Moreover, we gave them a bag of laundry to launder. This was an offered service. There was no posted or quoted price. At checkout, the bill was $165 Euros, about $185 USD. I paid under protest. This was about 8-10x the price it should have cost. I offered to compromise at $50 Euros. They refused any compromise. Finally, a receptionist I spoke with said she agreed with me, and on her own processed a modest refund. I wouldn’t go there just to get a Michelin meal. An important point of travelling in rural France is to enjoy the friendly service, which we got at every other stay in the region.

Chambre mal agencée, capapé tournant le dos au téléviseur ! Pas de volets et rideaux non opaques, d'ou un réveil à 6 heures ! Ventilation des WC inefficace ! Papier toilette indigne d'un tel endroit ! Petits déjeuners trop chers (30 €) et sans aucun service ! En clair pas de classe !!!

Chambre confortable mais vieillotte . Équipement électrique à revoir. Belle vue directement sur la Dronne. Restaurant : menu surprise, pas de choix, cuisine limite pour 1 étoile. Parking payant. Ce n’est plus l’hôtel restaurant que nous avons connu dans les relais chateaux.

Beau, pittoresque, chaleureux. Bref : magique. La localisation d'abord : idéale pour visiter la ville. Le bâtiment ensuite couvert de vigne vierge le long de la Dronne La terrasse au bord de la rivière face à la chute d'eau et la roue à aube qui tourne inlassablement. Les chambres ne sont pas grandes mais confortables avec un équipement moderne. Parking pour les voitures face à l'hôtel. Pratique et facile.
