You must be able to buy a 5 star rating because this place certainly falls short. The room is nice but certainly not 5 stars. The mini bar is outrageously overpriced (I know, they all are, but this one would give you the impression you were in Beverly Hills). I asked the desk for a simple thing to make my visit more comfortable, earplugs, and they didn’t have that. I’ve never stayed in a “5 star hotel” that didn’t offer this simple amenity The breakfast was just bad. For starters they have the audacity to charge €57 for their buffet. I almost burst out laughing! We chose the a la carte option and I made the unfortunate mistake of ordering the omelette. It was absolutely disgusting. It was overcooked and swimming in oil. An omelette shouldn’t be crunchy. When I booked this they mention some rooms have a hill view. I’d advise against it as we had a lovely view of a cemetery. Bottom line, this is a 3 star hotel posing as a 5 star hotel. You have better options in Bratislava

We stayed in room 915 for one night - which included access to the Executive Lounge. Check-in was fast and staff are friendly. We arrived via train from Vienna, then took an Uber over to the hotel. The ride was about 8 minutes long - 5 Euro for the drive. Room 915 was facing the road/ hill. Bathroom was large. We walked along the river path to the old town - took about 20-25 min. The Executive Lounge on the 9th floor was nice. We went there around 6 pm, they had pastries, wine, coffee, tea, water, juice, etc. Breakfast was not included with the room rate. Cost was 29 Euro pp but we didn’t try it out. Instead we walked next door to the Olive You for healthy delicious breakfast options instead. Great quiet area - would stay here again if we get to visit Bratislava again.

Hôtel de luxe à Bratislava à 15 minutes de la vieille ville et du château par une jolie promenade le long du Danube . Grande chambre au confort Luxury Collection avec très belle vue sur le Danube, très bon petit déjeuner et terrasse agréable à midi. (Quartier des affaires). Nous recommandons vraiment cet hôtel.

Wonderful hotel with lovely staff especially Kristina, Zsolt, Anna, Maryanne and the other girls at reception, Martina at the spa, all the breakfast staff and all the others I forgot! They all helped make my stay extra special. The room was great with amazing river views. The housekeepers were sweet and helpful even though they couldn’t speak any English. Hope to be back one day!

I booked this hotel several months in advance for my trip to Bratislava. 20 days later, the reservation supervisor emailed me to say that they had cancelled my reservation due to "the current geopolitical situation and the strict security precautions issued by the local security authority". When I replied, saying that it was unacceptable for the Marriott chain to discriminate based on nationality or any other factor against a loyal customer I'd stayed with even after the major data breaches they'd suffered, they wrote that the date of the below mentioned International Security Conference was set quite late. And due to this fact, their system was open for reservations. As the large international conference requires a lot of security measures, the hotel will be strictly closed during this event and therefore they will not be able to accommodate any other guests. Today I am in Bratislava in another 5 star hotel and I see that the River Park is open and there are rooms available. I hope that someday they will realise that discriminating in any way is contrary to what they stand for and to hospitality in general.
