Excellent stay in a peaceful location. All the staff were helpful and polite. Would stay again.

Not sure where to begin. There is too much to say in one message. I’ll start by saying that this was our first wedding venue we had gone to and at first we loved it! The grounds are really lovely and Jay seemed pleasant. We had asked to view the accommodation as this was important for us due to having family flying from all over to be with us. We were told that they had guests in the accommodation currently as they let it out as bed n breakfast when there’s no weddings. This was fair enough and we understood but they did not offer us another time to come view it when it was free. I had asked several times bad got the same response. Communication wasn’t great with Jay and wasn’t great when we asked certain questions. We finally managed to see the accomidation out of chance as I took my dad, and my fiance to the venue to show him around just as the wedding that they had that weekend was leaving. I was really upset with what I had seen. It had really scruffy furniture, very dated, there was mould on walls and shower trays, ripped in the leather sofas (large ones), pain peeling of walls, sinks cracked. I wouldn’t be so shocked if this wasn’t advertised as LUXURY!! 😡 I didn’t feel comfortable asking for people to pay to stay here as wedding guests and I would not had felt good getting ready there. It would be really lovely if they would also reply to my emails regarding our cancellation but unfortunately we are being Ignored. Hopefully people don’t make our mistakes !!

The cottage was ok, however there was a fly infestation for the first week of our stay. The owner did offer us another cottage with the same problem though, after that they got someone in to sort it. Bathroom was mouldy aswell. These are the only reason for the knock down marks apart from that ok, owners are very friendly.

Wonderful stay at Glebe House Cottages. The cottage was very clean and well kitted out. The grounds are lovely, very well tended. Great outdoor swimming pool and lots of children’s play areas. The hosts Jay Nick and Polly Brewer are so helpful with any questions. I’d recommend a car to explore the beautiful countryside as it’s in quite a remote area.

Lovely location, cottages roomy but starting to get tired now . Plenty of room . Not very helpful when you complain Was told it’s only stains on the mattress and I was strange for looking at my mattress. I disinfected them , put back the protector, sheet & a folded quilt before I could lay on the bed . I left it at that as I didn’t want to ruin my daughters wedding . Everything else there was fine .

Everything was lovely. We attended my friends sons wedding which was from Thursday to Saturday . The owner let us get on with doing what we wanted re decorating everywhere. It was all really fantastic. The exclusivity of having the whole place to ourselves was fantastic. The only thing I would say is it would be useful to have more toilets near the marquee and the use of a microphone for ceremony would have been better as I couldn’t hear anything.

Glebe House Cottages was everything we wanted it to be for the marriage of daughter. Significantly, from a party of 120 there was not one piece of negative feedback#, nothing was overlooked. From the initial visit, then the wine tasting (epic) and the wedding weekend, Jay and the team couldn't have been more helpful from the outset to completion. We paid exactly what we asked for and having shopped around several venues in North Cornwall/Devon we found this to have both, that all important VIP touch whilst also being value for money. Booking for the weekend allowed us the feeling of exclusivity for the whole venue. The wedding day was exceptional and the chill out day (Sunday) allowed circa 70 of us to decompress, drink beer and BBQ in the sun. The rooms were all very comfortable and had everything you'd expect in a self catering cottage. The pool, gardens and grounds are exceptional. Thanks Jay, you and the team are superstars; your ability to melt into the background and run things seamlessly is a credit to your professionalism and dedication. #If I could change one thing it would be the coal BBQ's for gas; I blame myself in part for being a gas covert.

Rubbish. Stay away Me and my partner booked a wedding at glebe house cottages . We visited and everything seemed lovey so put a deposit down Unfortunately we were then hit with lots of extras amounting to over £1,000 extra which we were unable to pay so had to cancel Jay seems very nice face to face but think money is to big an object for him as it’s all he seems to care about After lots of messages back and forth they have been useless and made our wedding experience really bad Really do not recommend using glebe house cottages for your wedding venue! Booked a stay in advance for July 24. Really excited. Had confirmation of the booking and two emails to confirm booking and who to contact with any problems. All was great. Had a call a few weeks later from Jay to say that the booking was not valid as the venue had been secured for a wedding. Completely understand if an error was made by Glebe and the cottage should not have been available for booking. But when asked why this booking had been confirmed, I was given details of the wedding party , which I am sure is a breach of GDPR and I was told that the booking could never have been made as the hotel had not even opened their 2024 bookings. JAY needs to be reminded of the serious nature of disclosing personal details and the venue need to ensure they remove all cottages when they commit to a wedding party booking with confirmation that all cottages will be exclusive to the wedding party. Really disappointed that Jay would not acknowledge that an error had occurred and more importantly did not care that I had been able to book a cottage which had already been allocated and paid for in an exclusive wedding package.
