Listen, this is a historic hotel. That means the rooms are very small and furnished with old furniture. We had to get 3 rooms for my family of 5, and my sons was literally a closet. So this is not about the rooms. The rooms are very basic. However, the hotel is gorgeous and the grounds are incredible. Beautiful hiking to the waterfall and the views over the lake are incredible. We also loved the pool, which was interesting and had algea on the bottom because it was self cleaning. There is one key component here. If you book through them you get tickets to the brienz rail train to the top of the mountain which would have cost us 500 euro's, the breakfast was included and was huge and incredible with tons of options. You also get the boat rides on the lake and use of the furnicle. Come to this hotel because of the views, location and what is included. Do not mind the rooms, because you should be outside having fun
We got there early and dropped off our bags. Reception was very friendly. There’s a ton around to walk to for food and shops and the train wasn’t a bad walk away. We had a room with a private bathroom and the view out to the river was beautiful. The bed wasn’t exceptionally comfy but it was worth it.
We stay here for 4 nights with a group of friends. It is not far from Interlaken West station (lee than 10 minutes walk) It has nice room, comfy bed but a little soft and fluffly pillow. The location is quite good, near supermarket and restaurants. Nice staff. Very good breakfast. It provide a lot of amenities with 2 bottles of mineral water everyday. Also have common room for guest's leisure and have some snacks.
This is a very nice hostel just minutes walk from the train station. COOP's huge supermarket is just opposite the hostel, however it is close on Sunday. No worry, there's another smaller one at the train station which opens on Sunday. We book a double room with bathroom/toilet attached. It has a good view. The room is spacious with a cupboard and shelves, however there is no electric kettle or even cups. If you need hot water, you have to go Level 1, the TV room where there are 2 electric kettles, a microwave oven and few dinning long tables. The basin area is empty without any kitchen utensils so you have to bring your own plates, spoons or cups. The buffet breakfast start at 6.30 am and thumbs up for the very good breakfast.
