皇家酒店(The Royal Hotel)

We were blown away by the very high standard of service at the hotel. From the welcome we received on check in, bar staff and restsurant staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Ventnor is lovely and the grounds of the hotel are kept beautifully. Dinner was delicious as was breakfast, which we were lucky enough to take outside in the garden. I can't wait to go back and visit the hotel again.

Very good a dealing with GF needs and almost never needed reminding to bring the relevant menu. Food quality good and the only exception was that the fish dishes were always overcooked.

Returned again in May and delighted as always by the hotel's smooth running and excellent food. The weather was a bonus - swam in the heated outdoor pool. All in all very relaxing with exceptionally well trained and couteous staff.

The staff at the hotel were fabulous. The only things that prevented us from giving a 5* review is the really poor shower. It was an overhead shower over the bath with a very narrow shower of water. It would have benefitted from a wider stream of water and a body wand. The other thing is some air-conditioning. The room was so warm, we left the window open. Also very poor ventilation, small window set back in a deep recess, in the bathroom. Whilst we appreciate that it may be difficult to fit better ventilation etc, given the age of the property, it would definitely enhance the experience. The room otherwise was great, the breakfast was excellent as was dinner.

This is a fabulous little hotel in Ventnor with delightful staff and an excellent restaurant. The location and views are lovely. Second time there and I will certainly return.

Very enjoyable stay, lovely clean sea view room. Staff were really friendly and especially Greta who was so helpful and knowledgeable about the dinner menu. Disappointed to have instant coffee sachets in my room, expected a coffee machine in this level of hotel.Dinner was exceptional.

On the island for a couple of days business trip and this is the second time I have stayed at The Royal. Excellent service and the restaurant food was truly stunning in quality and presentation. I will be back again.

Our room was lovely, clean and comfortable. We stayed on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. The food was excellent. The staff were all very polite, helpful and attentive without being overly so. We appreciated the attention to daily house keeping which some other hotels have cut down on. We would certainly visit again and recommend to friends and family.

I came with the Bentley Drivers Club, had a fantastic weekend. Food was excellent and staff could not be more helpful.
