We have stayed at this hotel twice before, once when it was Hotel Seattle and again just prior to covid when it had been rebranded Malmaison. We booked this hotel because of our previous experience - very good. However things have changed! The room was dirty - there was mould around the shower, the bench seat below the tv was stained and one of the buttons was missing its cloth, and one of the glasses provided for water had the imprint of lips on the rim. I have made a complaint but not had courtesy of a response - still waiting.
The location of the hotel is very good. It is overlooking Brighton Marina and there is free parking on the adjacent multi-storey car park. You can drop off luggage and then park unfortunately when we stopped there were cars parked on loading bay that did not move and one of the hotel lifts was out of order. There are a variety of restaurants and fast food outlets at Brighton Marina including a Harvester and a Weatherspoons. ASDA is close by. Parking in Brighton is very expensive so parking at the Marina for free is a good option. It cost £10 each way for a taxi, there is a good bus service and you can walk to the Volks Railway.
