十九旅館(Hotel Nineteen)

We booked for three nights for the Mod Weekender and stayed in the Gin Room. The room was lovely and spacious with plenty of hanging space, we don’t travel light! The hosts had thought of everything, complimentary snacks in the room as well as fresh milk in the fridge and wonderful fluffy robes in the bathroom. They had even supplied ear plugs to block out the noise from the seagulls. The hotel is in walking distance of the sea front and perfect for what we needed, so much so, we’ve already booked for next year!

Absolutely superb! Ideally located. Spotlessly clean & comfortable. Loved the little extras in the room such as complimentary snacks (perfect for when when you return from a nights entertainment) one of the best hotels I have stayed in Brighton.

My partner and I travelled from London to Brighton for the Pub in the Park festival last weekend. We stayed two nights at Hotel Nineteen and we are so glad we did. We loved it!! The hotel is set in a large townhouse. I’m not sure the name of the room we were in as I think they are all themed but it was lovely. The wall behind the bed was beautiful. We got to the hotel after 6pm which meant we got a message from the hotel saying no staff would be around but told us how to get in. All was easy. The room was spacious and I was impressed with the attention to detail. Ear plugs! Complimentary snacks and a large bottle of water. A fridge! Dressing gowns. The little bowls of sweets in the room and hotel corridor were great! The bed was sooooo comfortable. It felt like I was at home rather than in a hotel. The area that the hotel is in is amazing. So much to do. We went to eat in a burger restaurant around the corner before checking out the bars. Loads of pubs and drag bars nearby which were so much fun. The sea is at the end of the street where the hotel is. Half hour walk to Preston Park where our festival was. Location was just perfect. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 was because of the shower. It is so small and the doors bend inwards for some reason which makes it even smaller. I could barely move. Not sure how my partner did it. His bigger than me! However I can honestly say this would not stop us coming again. One of the best places we have stayed in. I recommend!

Brighton The reservation of my room for the weekend went without a hitch. However the checking in system in no way covers the old adage of Hospitality trade. I’m not sure I agree with the almost Airbnb way of remote checking in, I much prefer face to face hospitality (just my preference). We were allocated the incorrect room and had this been a face to face handing over of the keys we wouldn’t have to go up to the room to embarrassingly be told by the couple in the room that they had been checked in the room ( face to face ) earlier in the day. We had been texted the incorrect room!. How hard can it be, there are only 6 rooms in the hotel? Very disappointing! Parking _ we purchased 2 parking permits @£15 each to cover our 2 days but beware, there is very little chance of getting a parking space there are 6 hotels in the street and only about 14 spaces, the next street is even worse so after driving around for 20 minutes searching for a space we ended up paying £2.50 to park in Morrisons to unload and deposit the luggage then driving to an NCP car park and paying £65.90 ( we knew how expensive Brighton but now we have just been reminded ). The room _ it was clean and functional with an adequate (but small )shower room ( the extractor didn’t work).. Not sure the fridge was necessary for a pint of fresh milk, UHT milk would have sufficed. The blinds stopped the folk from the opposite building seeing in but didn’t stop any of the morning light coming in. The ear plugs were (I assume) for the many pigeons but they weren’t really that much of a bother. We only had 1 overhead case but had we been staying longer the storage of a larger case would have been a problem. All in all not one of my most relaxing stays in Brighton but it was OK. I’ve received a text apologising for not having face to face interaction during our stay and offering a discount on our next stay but I don’t think we will be taking up the offer, I’d rather have had everything go right on the first visit.

Very basic standard ‘hotel’ more in keeping with guest house rather than hotel status. VERY noisy around the building disrupting sleep. Not really much to offer. Didn’t enjoy the stay at all. Tried to charge for a drink stain on bedding. But felt appropriate that the bedding was of cheap quality. Would not stay again.

Overall is a great hotel beating your expectations. + Great location, spacious rooms, great communications; - No reception, early checkout

Comfortable beds, super clean, extra touches - really enjoyable stay!

We try to get down to Brighton a few times a year and when possible, we always choose to stay at Hotel Nineteen. The location is brilliant, the rooms are stylishly decorated and have everything you need for a comfortable stay - including snacks and fresh milk.

It was a nice and cosy hotel, minutes away from the centre, I spent a few days in Brighton for a Conference and staying at Hotel Nineteen was a great choice. Rooms are tidy, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast cafés are just around the corner.
