What fantastic spot for a city break. Such a good location and beautiful rooms. The added bonus of a rooftop pool, sauna and steam room made our girls trip complete. We were spoilt for choice for dinning options in the complex. Highly recommended and I'll definitely be back

I arrived early for check in with confirmation in writing that early check in was available. Had stayed here another time 3yrs prior and although not perfect it was a nice hotel for an overnight stay.....not this time..... Reception just said NO you will have to wait as not cleaned yet), while chatting to his mate. Made me sit for 4hrs on verandah . Put me a double room in an evacuation impossible corridor, without requested balcony, room did have cockroaches, power points out of walls that burnt appliances. Room booked was a single with air con and bathroom and balcony that I knew were closer to exit. Hotel full of permanent residents that liked to scream and rant down the halls all night, destroy property and try to bum anything from cigarettes to money off you constantly. Rubbish bins overflowing and syringes kept appearing in the overflowing bin and not a fan to be seen. Fill out covid form and lots of pictures but no hand sanitisers anywhere and if contactless is throwing the keys on the counter than yeah contactless. I would class this Hotel as an asylum more than accommodation and they had the nerve to demand payment upfront for the most terrifying 20hrs I have ever encountered. Spend your money elsewhere and go to a decent hotel...I will be.

We stayed here the night before leaving on a cruise that was leaving from the International Cruise Terminal. The main reason we chose this hotel was its close proximity to Roma Street Station as we caught the train from the airport. While it is close to the train station it is located at the top of a reasonable hill and it took a bit of effort to navigate the way to the top, apart from the effort. Several escalators/lifts and then a steep path with no real directions on which way to go. I thought I would be able to see the hotel to give me an idea which way but had to resort to Google Maps to find the way. Unfortunately we were on an early flight into Brisbane so as it was 09:30AM I was not expecting our room to be ready but just needed to store our bags so we good do some exploring. As expected, our room was not ready but the guy behind the counter checked me in, stored our bags and advised that the hotel was busy and our room would not be ready until about 02:00PM. No worries we will be back. We arrived back at 01:00PM and our room was still not ready and waited in the foyer till 02:00PM as previously discussed. Reception gave me our keys and we proceeded to our room on Level 1, or so I thought……..room card would not let me use the lift. Back to reception to have the card re-coded. On entry to our room, it was reasonably spacious and looked clean and reasonably comfortable. Décor a bit dated, but functional. We had a rather large balcony but we could not use it as there was no furniture so the balcony was wasted. Bathroom was small but functional, bit dated but appeared clean. It was only after we used the toilet several times that we noticed water on the floor. We ignored it for quite a while as we thought we had spilt water on the floor but it was not till the next morning that I realised it was coming from under the toilet. I reported it to reception on checkout. As we were tired from our early start we chose to order room service. While we knew how much it was going to cost it was very expensive. Two hamburgers and chips over $70. A bit steep, but as we were so tired we paid so we did not have to go out. The hamburgers were good by the way, but still way too expensive. Overall, this hotel was OK, but the room was supposed to be a superior room. OK. I would hate to be in a Standard Room………..as the room was pretty average for a Superior. After reading some of the other reviews the price we paid was fair and the location is good, just not when you have to push two big suitcases that we were taking on a cruise up the hill from the station. PS. It cost us $73 in the taxi to get to the Cruise Terminal.
This hotel is stunning. The staff at check in & out were super friendly. Room was modern, very clean and the bed was huge & extremely comfortable. Close to shops, restaurants. Public transport and the city. Highly recommend this hotel. We stayed in the deluxe room on level 1. Only let down is, there is no restaurant at the hotel so no breakfast room service.
訪訪客Never having been to Queensland before other than a stop off at the airport my Christmas present to my wife was a four night stay along the Brisbane River at The View. Let's get things straight up front, when hotels advertise they are in Brisbane check exactly where. Not even several taxi drivers navigation could find The View in Brisbane, instead it is in Hamilton. I think this is a valuable lesson anytime when booking anywhere as I suspect The View would not be alone in doing this. The View is around ten minutes, maybe a little more outside of Brisbane depending on traffic. The hotel is relatively modern though showing some style age with decor. The reception by the concierge and staff throughout our stay was very welcoming and helpful. The welcome drink voucher, a pizza voucher and coffee vouchers for our time there was a very nice feature though we forgot to use some. The a-la-carte breakfast was second to none along with the dinner quality of the restaurant. The dinner menu could do with a few simple items. There is a very quaint lounge area between the dining room and concierge that is relaxing to chill thinking about nothing, checking phone messages, reading a magazine and so on. The only change I would make is to replace some of the almost ground level chairs to a few a little higher. Unfortunately we did not have the opportunity to try the bar area because we were exhausted from travelling each day. The room was cleaned every day along with a change of sheets, the bed was very comfortable and the sheets crisp. There was a large screen television in our room however the channel selection was a little confusing and sometimes we could find Netfilx on the program menu and other times not. The pool area looks very inviting on line and whilst the physical attributes are correct it is not as inviting as the displayed images. It just requires some decor and the lighting effects shown in the promotional material. Car parking had ample space. Would I stay there again? I may try elsewhere next time for two reasons: Firstly to stay on the river in Brisbane itself within walking distance of either the CBD or Southpoint. Secondly the piped music throughout The View must be free to air, it is very annoying music, and often a tehno kind of beat that is played over and over again that made us eat out more often than not. If on business however The View is situated half way between Brisbane CBD and the airport though not within walking distance of anywhere significant. The first day there we spent close to $100 on three or four taxi's travelling within fifteen minutes of Brisbane CBD which prompted us for the next four days to hire a car. This gave us the independence that allowed us to see the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast at a far cheaper rate than taxi's. I would definitely recommend The View because of the staff, a-la-carte breakfast, meal quality, cleanliness and vouchers upon arrival. It has a nice ambience and our fifth floor room with a one hund
訪訪客Rooms are fine and well priced. They are a little of the small side but fine for 1-2 people for a night or two. Rooftop bar is a great place for a drink looking over King George Square My only negative on this visit to the Mercure was that my room had a lot of very small moths in the room Check in is friendly and efficient and location is very good - short walk from Central Station, Queen Street mall and Southbank.
