快道公寓(Fleet Lane Apartments)

The first picture that pops up is the jacuzzi, it doesn’t work, in fact that whole area upstairs bbq/lounge chairs/view deck is in shambles. The only positive is the location, it’s perfect walking distance, to almost everything.

We arrived after a big day traveling with 3 young kids expecting our booked 3 bedroom apartment but instead they had 2x 2 bed units on different floors. So we had to all squeeze into one 2 bed apartment for the night. We chose this place originally because of the location and the rooftop spa pool. Gutted when we got to the rooftop and the spa pool wasn’t working. Looks like it had not been in use for a long time. Disappointing, especially when it’s the main picture online.

On arrival there was a squished cockroach on the kitchen floor. The kitchen had all the amenities you would need though. The bedroom had a double base with a queen mattress so we kind of just hung on to the bed all night. The pillows were extremely cheap and did not support our heads at all. The blinds let most of the sunlight in too so we did not have a good sleep. The shower head was held together with zip ties but it was a nice shower, good pressure. I found having the washer and dryer super handy with a 5 month old. We didn't bother sitting on the couch as it was tiny and looked super uncomfortable so not sure what people would do on extended trips. Having a 2nd room was handy to put the luggage in but they had left random bits of furniture in there which was off-putting. The rooftop was closed which was one of the main reasons I booked it. I wouldn't come back or recommend it when there are so many other options available.

The suite is nice, however, very basic and completely without any decorations. The shower head in one of the bedrooms was loose and couldn't be fixed into position. The internet connection instructions came via text and prooved to be unusable. Two of us tried for half an hour and then gave up. So no internet. The 2 bedroom unit is in a handy location for what we were doing in Brisbane, but it is very basic and could do with a bit of heart, care and attention.

The staff were lovely to deal with from booking to check out, our floor smelt of garbage, it was was super hot upon exiting the lifts which did not help with the stench. The room is nice, cheap flat pak furniture, couch is a rock and the bed is a slab, black mould in the bathroom.

If you're a female who would like to stand outside their property for 2 hours till 11pm at night by yourself, while they get themselves organised, this is the place for you. They will also steal your property you leave behind, I have called 4x in the past week to get back 3 dresses worth 2k, everytime I'm told someone will call me back, I'm now involving the police as this is blatant theft and they obviously they condone this behaviour, or they would have done something by now. Also if you don't like noisy trains, don't come here 🚂.

Great instructions on how to access the apartment after hours. The location is good and close to amenities and Southbank in general. Can be quite noisy being close to the train tracks.
