My stay at the Rothbury hotel was disappointing. I checked in after reception hours and had to provide my credit card details via their phone out the front of the property which isn't great for security in this day and age. This was even after a team member called days prior to obtain these details and were also filled out on an online check in form. The lady that greeted me at the door was pleasant however the cleanliness of the room was not great. Anything above eye level was not clean, the exhaust fans and air conditioner vents were dirty, tops of curtains and had dirt build up. There was no early checkout box, and I had call the hotel and was advised to put the keys through the closed reception grill which isn't ideal. The positives are that the position of the hotel is convenient, it was easy to get in touch with someone via phone if required and the onsite team were easy to deal with.
