The terrible management and communication is the reason for my 2 star review. I was only there for 2 hours - when I was supposed to be there for 3 nights. So let me tell you what happened. I checked in and got shown my room - which was lovely. It really was. But when I looked out the window - there was a building under construction. And I could hear hammering, drilling, workers shouting to each other. And this was in my “quiet” room. You see, six weeks ago I started messaging the hotel on What’sApp, saying I needed a quiet room - NO NOISE - because I’m sensitive to sound. I was assured it would be quiet. And actually - a few weeks ago, they reached out and said I could upgrade for $40 more a night to a different room that would be sure is quiet! I must have written them once, twice a week about this. “Is it quiet?” “There’s no noise, right?” And I got no word that there was a construction project literally 100 feet from the window of my room. The manager walked around to different rooms with me to see if they would work, and none of them did. And the workers would also be there on Saturday too! No break from the noise. They admitted they made a mistake - and at least someone could have told me there was a construction project going on next door. But no one did. Even though I reached out just days before my trip and asked if everything is still good, all quiet? I have a record of the entire conversation that I shared with the manager - and he agreed it was their mistake. The hotel looked lovely, it really did. It’s a shame I had to pay for a taxi there - and then back to another hotel. And wasted two hours out of my day with this. So there it is. If you’re sensitive to noise, just know there’s a construction project going on right now.
