萊諾克斯酒店和套房(Lenox Hotel and Suites)

Dieses Hotel ist ein sehr altes Gebäude mit entsprechenden Einschränkungen gegenüber modernen Hotels. Dafür ist es ein besonderes Erlebnis hier eine Nacht zu verbringen. Immerhin dürfte es sich um das ältestete Hotel in Buffalo handeln. Die Zimmer sind extrem sauber, und wir hatten endlich mal keinen der üblichen Teppichböden. Das Badezimmer war zwar sehr klein, aber sehr sauber und hatte einen ganz besonderen Charme, da viele Details noch aus der Zeit stammen dürften, in der das beeindruckende Gebäude erstellt wurde. Der Aufzug ist alt aber zuverlässig. Neben der aussergewöhnlichen Sauberkeit ist ein weiterer Pluspunkt, dass das Personal sehr freundlich ist. Es ist zudem eine günstige Alternative zu den überteuerten Hotels der Stadt. Auch das Parken auf dem großen, hoteleigenen Parkplatz ist kostenlos. Wir waren hier eine Nacht und haben uns wohlgefühlt. Mein Tip: versucht Zimmer 828 im 8. Stock zu bekommen, denn dann habt ihr einen tollen Blick auf die Skyline von Buffalo. Direkt um die Ecke gibt es einen Starbucks und wenige Minuten zu Fuß entfernt ein tolles Lokal: das Teton (sehr gute asiatischeKüche und Sushi).

What a strange hotel. Dated and tired. I entered the large, clean yet dark and dreary foyer / check-in area asking myself what kind of place this was. It was apparent right away that it's also a long-term residence building with a handful of rooms that comprise the "hotel" portion. The Staff (the one person behind the check-in counter) was nice enough, but not very lively. Room was on the top floor, which you can take the sole elevator to get there... though I felt like the elevator would stop working at any moment. The room was large but sp**** in the aesthetics and coziness department. I didn't try the WiFi so can't comment on that. TV worked, hot water in the shower worked. Bed was sufficient for one night. Though our one night there was quiet, you could hear the neighbors a little, so walls must be on the thinner side. Parking available for free in their lot. Location was good, very close to public transportation. Stayed here because it was cheap and I only needed one night. Go in with your expectations set and you'll be fine.

Het hotel is gedateerd en dat merk je. Het raam in de kamer blijft niet open staan, de douchekraan lekt, de koelkast zoemt ontzettend hard, maar het allerergste was het bed. Elke minieme beweging zorgde voor een gigantisch gekraak. De badkamerdeur kon niet dicht. Het keukentje is onbruikbaar, omdat er geen pannen, bestek of servies aanwezig is. Ik zou nog even verder zoeken voor je dit boekt. Pluspunten zijn er ook; voldoende parkeerplekken en vriendelijk personeel!

We enjoyed staying in a fine old hotel. Missing the spacious bathrooms of new hotels, but we did not expect otherwise. Beautiful neighborhood with lots of interesting, good and reasonanably-proced restaurants nearby. Free parking a plus.

This is one of our favorite places to stay when we come to Buffalo. Staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. Within walking distance of many great food venues. Short distance from Highland Stadium- home of the Buffalo Bills. We were in town for the Bully Joel Concert.
