South Burlington definitely need a car to get to Burlington proper. They do have a shuttle bus though that runs to like ten pm I think. The king bed with bath doesn’t exist , the bathtub is kind of old school. Checking in can be slow (waited in line for a bit). Refrigerators in room but no microwave, one exist in lobby. Gym is ok, indoor swimming pool is nice, gym isn’t 24 hours. Room was ok.
We chose this hotel due to the easy walking distance of Church St. and the waterfront. Since we used HH points, we were not offered the Diamond member room upgrade, but the room we had was nice, just no nice view. We were well taken care of, however, there were several things we had to ask for, but were supplied with a wait. We stayed 4 nights and received housekeeping once. The only parking option is valet, but there would have been no other place to park at the hotel rate. Our car was always promptly retrieved when we requested. They have a nice system to prevent you from waiting a long time. The dining room was quite large, but mostly empty likely due to their high prices. Unfortunately the homelessness is a real issue for Burlington. There were large numbers on Church Dr. and the parks in the area. The only real fail we found here is no safe in the rooms. If in the area again, we would consider staying here again.
It was our first time in Burlington and I am so glad we chose this property for our four night stay. EVERYONE on staff was friendly and accommodating. We did upgrade to a lake view and it was worth it. Room was spacious and clean with lots of extra towels. We opted to for go daily cleaning service. Extra pillow and blanket were provided in the closet. Air conditioning worked wonderfully. We were invited to the manager’s evening reception on the day we checked in and it was incredible with gourmet appetizers. There is a great area in the lobby for relaxing. WiFi was exceptional. We did have breakfast on our last morning and it too was awesome from the service to the meal. Although I didn’t use it, the gym was very good. Even had a Peloton bike.
This hotel is branded as a Delta but it really shouldn’t. Marriott is doing a real disservice to the Delta brand with this hotel. It is clearly an old motel that received a quick and cheep flip and got put the Delta name on it. The room was fine and clean even if the layout is really weird as you enter the room in the middle of the washroom… The hallways looks old even with the newish carpet. The pool is of a great size but all the furniture around it is rusted! The pool and hot tub really need a deep clean! People are creating graffiti by carving their name in the grime. It seems like they are only adding more and more chlorine. In fact as soon as you start the jet in the hot tub, the fumes makes it hard to breathe. So basically an average hotel nothing more.
