I was on marriott points. I checked in and asked for an upgrade they indicated nothing available. The room was very small. I think they gave me the smallest room due to reservation on points. When we went to open the spare sheets/blankets for the sofa bed from the closet, there was a bug on the spare blanket, a small bug, looked like a bed bug after i googled but im no bed bug expert. I examined the actual bed and did not see anything else and the sheets were clean on the bed. I took the blanket to the front desk, they gave me another room, a larger room now. Went to the new room and examined the bed and spare sheets and one of the spare sheets was very very dirty. I asked for new sheets at the front desk and gave them the dirty sheet. The bed was very uncomfortable, kept sliding to the middle, not a king as reserved. Underneath the sofa mattress was dirty and very old, some holes. I checked in late and after all this, it was 1am. I was very tired. In the morning we were getting ready and the new room looked to have mold in the closet, they did clean it off after i told the front desk but it was black in the closet wall behind the shower wall. The night staff checking us in was very nice. They did give me some points back to my marriott but not enough in my opinion, due to a very late night and issues it was upsetting. The workers were nice and handled everything asap, due to the workers helping and being very nice it was hard to get upset at them, they were trying to make it right. The place was older, and the beds and furniture had alot of use. For the same price you can go to south Dayton, and get a newer hotel that is a lot nicer. We ended up at the springhill suites dayton south which did not have a kitchen but the rooms were very nice, newer and clean. A big difference of materials in towels, beds, pillows and bedding for the same points. I would not recommend the Towneplace Dayton north.

The general manager is welcoming and extremely helpful. You could tell that she is very proud of her staff and she loves her job. The staff was friendly and took care of anything that needed to be done. There is a renovation planned for this facility and that will only make it better!

We stayed for an extended period of time due to business. I was not around much during the day but every single time I came back to my room after work, my personal belongings had been moved. And it was pretty obvious! For example, I had brought my Xbox and plugged it into the TV and one day when I came back everything was unhooked and the cords were on the floor. I don’t feel comfortable staying here at all, I definitely think they are going through my stuff when I’m not here but since this was a business trip, I cannot cancel this room and move hotels. DO NOT STAY HERE

Every day my key did not work to my room. My coffee pot was broken, I got a new one after 2 days, and they left the old one in my room. I never got new soap for cleaning dishes. My washcloths were left in the room everyday. I had all the sheets removed from my bed when I got home, and my bedding pilled in the corner--in the evening.

The staff of TownePlace Suites Dayton is outstanding. I had an extended stay at this hotel and the staff made me feel at home. Erin, VaShauna, Geri, Farren, and Leah are incredibly friendly and they did everything thing in their power to make it an enjoyable stay.

I booked this hotel in Novemer 2022 for a weekend stay in September 2023 for University of Dayton Family weekend. I received an email last night that was very generic, stating that the hotel cancelled my reservation for no reason. I tried calling the hotel and got a rude front desk person on the phone. I asked for the manager and he said that she is "unavailable" and gave me some sketchy email address. My email was then sent back to me as undelivered. Be aware of this place, it is also not "Marriott" owned. Lucky for me, I found another Marriott hotel to stay at.

This hotel is horrid It needs a major remodel. Broken Furniture nasty stains on upholstery. No soap or shampoo in Showers. We were in a 2 room suit a very expensive room Felt like we were in a run down Trailer from the 70’s Do Not Stay here Do mot trust the branding its false advertising only positive was the nice staff who could not help that hotel management has let the place descend into a hell scape

In town 1 night with my son to visit a local college . Check in was east , and room was ready upon arrival . Staff was pleasant and friendly . We got into our room and after a long drive , wanted to jump in the shower. This is when I noticed 3 different clusters of BLACK MOLD . On the wall , ceiling and where the tub and wall meet . I was pretty surprised that it was so blatantly obvious to see. My son also was going to sleep on the pull out sofa , but when we opened it , there was a Very Large dark brown stain on the mattress. He looked at me and said “hell no”. Advised the front desk of what we found and was told it would be put on the list for maintenance. VERY DISAPPOINTED as this is a Marriott Property and had higher expectations, especially when it come to cleanliness.

Filthy, unsafe, questionable fluid spurts on headboard, spills on tables. Dirty bedding. Missing bedding. Rooms are small. Lots of transient workers going in and out. Vagrants sitting on curb outside of hotel. There was a loud religious AA meeting going on in breakfast area while we were checking in. Elevator out of order. Hotel software system not working. Manager was “not available” to help with problems; though the front desk staff eventually were able to help. This was not needed after a stressful day of driving all day and just wanting to get in to our room. We were offered another room when complained about unacceptable first room. The second was no better. This is a nonsmoking hotel yet this second room stunk heavily of cigarette smoke. I have asthma and am allergic to smoke. For what this hotel is charging, there are better options in the area. Cheaper and nicer. Management/leadership need to do a better job at running this hotel and sink some money into staff and repairs. We stayed here several years ago and it was great, that’s why we returned. It’s a big joke now and a black mark to the Marriott brand. For shame!

This was our second time staying at this hotel. We stayed there for almost a week both times, the first time being back in February 2018. The hotel staff are pleasant and we had no issues, other than our room key needing to be reset twice (not sure why, but it apparently wasn't programmed correctly to allow us in for the full 5 days of our stay). The room was clean and it was nice to be able to have a refrigerator to keep some drinks and snacks in, but I can't imagine cooking a meal there. The kitchen (I'd call it a kitchenette, frankly) is super tiny with not much counterspace. We only used the toaster and the refrigerator. All in all, it's not a bad room, but if you're planning on staying for more than a handful of days, there are other hotels with bigger suites and kitchens that would likely be much more comfortable. I did find it odd that the temperature was set to 60 degrees upon our arrival. It was not *that* hot outside. Still, if you're only staying a few days and aren't planning to spend a lot of time in the room, the location isn't bad and it's one of the less expensive options in the area.
