Fantastic stay in a two bedroom deluxe apartment. Spotlessly clean and everything we needed. The location is perfect: directly opposite the beach. Fabulous pool area and barbecue space with comfortable chairs to relax. Great secure parking too. Would happily return when in Byron.

We stayed in this property 3 years ago and had a very positive experience. This time it has been the opposite. The one bedroom units are like dungeons - no windows at all in the kitchen dining area and a door only to a very small deck in the living area. The bedroom has a small deck that overlooks an alley with large garbage bins. The unit is poorly appointed and stocked. Two towels, two dishwasher soap tablets, no washing machine soap and when we asked for replenishments we were refused!!! No beach gear or towels. - can rent towels. Unbelievable given the prices charged to stay here. Very unhelpful staff bordering on rude. Do yourself a favour and avoid the disappointment.

I recently stayed in apt 19 and it was wonderful. Perfect getaway with a friend. Fantastic central location across from the beach which was a highlight. Comfortable bed, super clean and all amenities taken care of. Well stocked kitchen. Helpful front of house staff which made the stay easy. Would highly recommend!

First, the list of rules are ridiculous. There are fines for leaving the furniture in another place than the original position. Not kidding. If I had known about the stupid rules, I wouldn't have booked. In my opinion its an automatic fail when you have to lug your suitcase 5 flights of stairs with no porters, lifts or advance warning. If I had known that, I wouldn't have booked. For an apartment, I wanted a door to the bedroom, that was the whole point of me wanting an apartment. An open plan is called a studio, not an apartment. Fail number 4 - the washing machine is in the kitchen, it is even louder than the loudest dishwasher in existence. You have to leave the apartment to escape the noise. Its is a good location, the parking is a little bit of a mission to find. Fail number 5- there is no view of the bay, despite its name. You look into other peoples apartments.... yuck yuck yuck. I haven't a clue why anyone would want to stay here, after warnings like mine. Read the reviews, I am not the only one!!!!

Where to begin with this place? If you're considering staying here, think twice. The only positive thing about it is the location. Apart from that, it's a bit of a letdown. Before we arrived, they bombarded us with multiple lengthy emails detailing a list of rules and hefty fines for any transgressions. Forget your key? That'll be at least $150 to sort out. The rules and fines were excessive and gave off a rather unwelcoming vibe. But, they conveniently forgot to mention the ongoing construction next door, which started up bright and early every morning. The WiFi was abysmal - I've had faster speeds on dial-up. And don't expect any small conveniences like shampoo or paper towels; it's strictly BYO everything except toilet paper even though it is advertised as an Aparthotel. For a five-night stay, we found ourselves rationing supplies like sugar and dishwashing tablets (only provided for the first couple of days). Our courtyard was the main walkway to the pool and constantly busy with people passing through, making privacy a luxury. On top of all this, the night before check-out, we received an email listing all sorts of fines - some as ridiculous as checking out 15 minutes late, and subsequent fines for every additional 15 minutes; fines for not stacking the dishwasher, and fines for not starting it. It felt unnecessarily strict and left a sour taste in our mouths. Overall, save your money. There are much friendlier and better-maintained apartments in Byron Bay for the price they're asking here. Unless you enjoy being micromanaged by rules, dealing with patchy WiFi, and feeling like an inconvenience, steer clear of this place.
